My first assignment when I moved to Germany was “Die Meistersinger” on the music staff of the @komischeoperberlin. Since then, I’ve devoted a lot of my life to Wagner, slowly making my way through his music dramas, and I never tire of digging ever-deeper into his demanding works. But I had never conducted one myself - until this summer. Thanks to the awe-inspiring leadership of @julie.wyma and @sopranomeredith at the @dramaticvoicesprogramberlin, I conducted the “Die Walküre” - three brave casts with a chamber orchestra valiantly playing like 90 musicians, and @anjuschkaopera at the directorial helm. I come from a family of teachers and I’ve taught in some form or another since I was a child, and it was a joy to share what I’ve learned as I’ve grappled with Wagner’s always challenging but so deeply fulfilling art.

Our first @aimnsportswear Berlin Run Club track session. Biggest thankyou to @laufabc for letting us use your beautiful track!

We warmed up, went through some drills and then ran a session of timed intervals, everyone at their own pace.

It’s so exciting to see it all coming together! 💛🤩

@sabrinacarpenter’s Met Gala look reminds me of one of my favorite looks that I styled for the epic shoot I did with @dashabubenphoto last year in Berlin. I have a few “no pants” looks that I haven’t been quite brave enough to wear out in public, but maybe this is the season.
