@seandassoff was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2014, and since then, his journey has been anything but easy. He has endured an endless series of colonoscopies, liquid diets, biologics, and steroids, along with countless hospital visits and the daily unpredictability of managing a chronic illness. The physical and mental toll has been immense - but through it all, Sean has persevered thanks to the unwavering support of his family, friends, and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. That support is the reason he is here today, proud to share his powerful success story.

In 2023, Sean faced his most challenging year yet. After being hospitalized twice with painful flare-ups, he made a life-changing decision to confront his Crohn’s head-on and take control of what he could. He adopted a strict new diet and, with encouragement from his sister, began an inspiring journey to create a healthy food option that people living with Crohn’s and IBD could enjoy without fear of triggering symptoms.

That journey led to the creation of the @dassogood protein bar.

What started as a personal solution quickly became a renewed sense of purpose. With a safe, healthy alternative in hand and a passion for education, Sean found determination and meaning that once felt completely out of reach. Today, he is dedicated to sharing his experiences, supporting others living with IBD, and helping move us closer to a cure.

Sean’s appreciation for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation - especially Take Steps - goes beyond words. He has been an active participant through Take Steps walks, MyIBDLearning events, and as a volunteer at the Imagine the Cure Gala.

Sean is participating in Take Steps this year with his team, dassogood, to raise awareness and funding for research, patient support programs, and future breakthroughs.

Thank you for supporting this mission and being part of a future where no one has to face IBD alone!! 💙

Business update — we started a protein bar company.

Sean was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2014. What started as a personal problem turned into a small (and initially ridiculous) idea between siblings: attempting to make a protein bar in our kitchen. Instead it turned into 1.5 years of testing, tweaking, and refining what became Dasso Good: clean, digestible protein.

Thank you to everyone who has pre-ordered, and to our friends and family who spent the last year being our taste testers and supporting us!!

Dasso Good is officially launched 🤎
