I am delighted to invite you all to my solo exhibition, „Zwölf Leben“ (Twelve Lives), at the Kunstmuseum Appenzell. The opening takes place on 🔆November 14 2026 at 5:00 PM🔆The museum is especially beautiful in daylight, so do come early or visit on another day—the animals will be happy to see you. The Show is Open from 14.11.2026 to 11.4.2027. The Project is curated by the wonderfully kind Stefanie Gschwend. A huge thank you, Steffi. A book about my latest work by @distanzverlag designed by @supersoft.biz is being released alongside the exhibition; the book launch is on February 14 at 11:00 AM. Documenta Sixteen hat ihr Erscheinungsbild vorgestellt, den Ticketverkauf gestartet und erste Konzeptgedanken veröffentlicht. Vom 12. Juni bis 19. September 2027 findet die Weltkunstschau in Kassel statt – künstlerische Leiterin ist Naomi Beckwith, die erste Schwarze Frau, die eine Documenta kuratiert.⁠

Optisch setzt die D16 auf formale Strenge: Statt der knalligen Farben und verschlungenen Linien der Documenta 15 unter Ruangrupa dominieren nun gedeckte Töne und eine reduzierte, an Post-it-Zettel und Behördenästhetik erinnernde Gestaltung, entwickelt von den Studios Beautiful Baby Limited, Data Orbit und Wiegand von Hartmann. Eine der Schriftarten verweist auf den Soziologen und Bürgerrechtler W. E. B. Du Bois – ein Hinweis darauf, dass Rechte und Erfahrungen Schwarzer Menschen wohl im Zentrum stehen könnten.⁠

Inhaltlich schlägt die D16 leisere Töne an als ihre Vorgängerinnen. Anstelle von kämpferischen Statements betonen die ersten Texte das Tastende, Suchende.

Ganz ohne Spannungen dürfte die Schau trotzdem nicht bleiben: Nach dem Antisemitismus-Eklat von 2022 wird die Documenta genau beobachtet. Mehr zur Documenta 16 und ihrem leiseren, suchenden Ton lest ihr im Artikel von Saskia Trebing auf Monopol Online. 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝗼!

„sl.wm.ed.“ ft. @flofilz & @melodiesinfonie is out today 💜💜💜

It’s the second single from our upcoming album Frozen Flashes, out September 18 on @current.moves .

This one feels especially full circle for us. Back in 2018, we released our first EP „Traphouse Jazz“ on the much-missed Zurich label Boyoom Connective, a label co-founded by Melodiesinfonie, and one that played an important role in shaping the local beat scene we came up around.
FloFilz and Melodiesinfonie were two of the biggest inspirations for us in those early days. Without their influence, we might never have started making this kind of music in the first place.
So having both of them on this track now means a lot.

A closer look at DOME (Data-Orbit and Michel Egger) today.⁠
⁠
The Kunsthalle and Kunstmuseum Appenzell form one institution. Their corporate identity reflects this dual structure by linking parallel exhibitions through a shared visual theme. For each exhibition, an A2 silkscreen is produced and adapted to different formats. The exhibition visual is developed through DOME’s collective design process. ⁠
⁠
In close collaboration with the two exhibiting artists and the curator, a common motif is created that enters into dialogue with the artwork images used as backgrounds. After defining the motif, the screen printer prepares it for production, manually masking unnecessary elements with tape. This handcrafted intervention becomes a visible part of the final design, making the collaborative process tangible while ensuring high print quality within a limited budget. Sustainability is reflected in the remaining media, which are produced using waterless offset printing and non-toxic inks.⁠
