$I HONOR THE GOD AND GODDESS This virtue speaks to the restoration of sacred balance between the divine feminine and masculine energies, both within you and in the world around you. In African cosmology, the God and Goddess are not distant figures, but living forces expressed through nature, ancestral intelligence, and cosmic principles that animate all of existence. Divinity is not separate from us. It lives in our breath, our bodies, and our choices. Today’s world reflects the consequences of imbalance. The divine feminine has often been silenced, while the masculine has been wounded and expressed through control rather than protection. We can see this imbalance in ecological harm, fractured relationships, and systems that value power over care. To honor both the God and Goddess is to restore balance within yourself. It is to heal the division between softness and strength, intuition and action, stillness and movement. It is a call to embody wholeness and to relate to power in a way that is grounded, conscious, and life giving. The imagery reflects this through a pregnant African woman holding a cutlass, symbolizing the union of creation and protection, softness and strength. Her body carries the mystery of life, while the blade represents clarity and purpose. The Ankh on her arm affirms the balance of life force. What beliefs or influences have shaped how you see the sacred feminine and masculine? I honor both masculine and feminine aspects within and around me.
