Dear Football..

Thank you for an amazing 16 years of my life. Through the ups and downs, I wouldn’t trade my experiences for anything. For the lessons I’ve learned, brotherhoods formed, friendships forged, and memories I’ve made; I’ll always be thankful. I gave you everything I had through the blood, sweat, and tears. Thank you for helping form the man I am today. Thank you for giving me the best time of my life.

I also want to thank everyone that has been behind me on my journey of playing this game. Friends and family, thank you for all of your support, especially with my times of being injured or times I’ve had to bet on myself. Y’all’s support has meant so much to me throughout my career and I will always be thankful for that.

To my last year of college football, thank you. Thank you to all of my teammates, coaches and family. For 19 years I’ve gave this sport everything. I can proudly say I left it all on the field. Playing through injuries, role changes, wins and losses… I never gave you anything less than 100% football. Thank you for everything. You made me who I am, gave me irreplaceable friends I would’ve never met without you, and moments I’ll be able to share forever. With this season ending, it’s just another chapter coming to a close, I have plans on writing many more before ending the story book that is my career with football. The future is scary and unknown, but as I always have with football, I’ll give it 100% until I can’t anymore. My only dream is to make the little kid in me proud. I can’t say it enough but again, thank you football❤️

All these guys watched a scared 18 year old QB get thrown in the fire, dealt with the growing pains, won a bowl ring, helped me grow as a player and person… 4 years and a lot of memories later it’s hard to say that this game was the last one that group ever plays together. Best in the history of this school. We went through a lot. Coaches, coordinators, conference bs, covid, etc. Thank you to every senior that can’t return. A team without you guys won’t be the same. I’m just glad we got that kind of Dub one last time❤️
