Today, we’re honoring Dr. Jacquelyn Mahatha-Mason (@datchicka), whose leadership and dedication made it possible for us to provide Emotional Wellness Screeners to students at KIPP Leadership Academy. 🌿✨

Dr. Mahatha-Mason went above and beyond, sharing essential information, removing barriers, and ensuring we had everything needed to support her students with care and intention. Her commitment to the emotional wellbeing of young people has been instrumental in moving this work forward.

“The partnership with IWES has provided KIPP Leadership Academy with resources such as the Universal Behavioral Screener, where we are able to better understand the needs of our students and connect them with meaningful programs and interventions that support their mental and emotional well-being. Through this collaboration, we are strengthening our commitment to educating and supporting the whole child—ensuring every student has the tools they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.” - Dr. Jacquelyn Mahatha-Mason

To Dr. Mahatha-Mason — thank you for your partnership, your advocacy, and your unwavering support. 💛 #ThisIsIWES #ThisIsWhyWeThrive #Gratitude #TheIWESWay

I am a 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻!.....I build....I don't tear down other WOMEN OF ANY RACE. 🖤
.
.
I have felt the pain of being TORN DOWN and I have ALWAYS been deliberate about building others! WE are here to Protect Our Community. .
.
All too often, we women find it easier to criticize each other, instead of building each other up. With all the negativity going around let's do something positive!!🌟 💫🖤 .

Public Service Announcement: Poor Business Practices! Those who know me know I will give the benefit of the doubt- Did. Mike who’s number is shown called to confirm appointment for 2 PM today. I reached out to him at 2:15, straight to voicemail. It is now 2:38 and I have not received a call yet! Repair/repaint job he did several weeks ago on my car was shoddy. They were paid! Husband tried several times to reconnect- phone calls unanswered and not returned. Disrespectful! Of course I know everyone will make their own decision and encounters with the business may be different BUT as for me an mine- they can’t never get business from us. This has been your PSA for the day.
