Pop, I been seeing the bat symbol a lot lately. As early as the past couple of days in a row.
( we use to call our father Batman )
And I know every time I see it it’s like you showing your presence. You know when I’m up to something, when I’m trying to figure things out, when I’m in a good or bad mood or even as often as every single day man you know I’m thinking about you and what could’ve been.
I’m thinking out loud right now. I’m not in tears , I’m not upset you’re gone from this earth anymore because I know in your later years you had found a way to give your life to Christ. You’d walk to church in a full suite & bible in hand if you had to and the 16 year old me at the time new it was power in that. . I still think about every text I didn’t respond to, every moment I ran into in the mall I didn’t speak, every phone call I should’ve answered. . . Whatever those circumstances were, I still loved you. And again this is me just in a dark room thinking out loud. Your transition has definitely became easier to talk about , easier to deal with but never fully accepting if that makes sense. But all in all , this is Jr pop. This is me just taking some time out of my morning to tell you and tell my followers I miss the heck out of you. For all of you not on good terms with your people right now man nip that junk in the bud. I still remember that phone call I got in the middle of the night my sister gave me and I was astounded. Never in a millions years would’ve I think I lose my pop the way I did. . . Especially at 48 years of age my father was still in the prime of his life, best shape of his life but mentally he was drained. . . I never admitted aloud because I’ll stand on it when I say OD’ing on Fitina laced Cocaine was some sucka stuff . . . But again, I wasn’t in that room. Easier to deal with , easier to talk about but never fully accepting. I say all this to simply say you never know what people are going through. You never know what they’re dealing with mentally and spiritually as you can be , we all have breaking points. My father was a giant to me and will always will be. But even sometimes giants need help. Hug y’all fathers for me. . .

Here’s to Newfound Family 🥰⁣
______________________________⁣
⁣
So years ago I found out that my mom was adopted. I naturally came to my own conclusions about it especially considering that she didn’t remember too much either. Sometime last year, she decided to try @ancestry to find out more about her biological family. ⁣
⁣
Last month (February) they found her! My aunts connected with her through Facebook and immediately knew she was their long lost sister. We flew to Michigan this past weekend and finally got to meet them! Overall it was a very emotional experience and it was a blessing to witness my mother meeting her mother 🥺⁣
⁣
On a personal note, I finally have a living grandmother and cousins my age and I absolutely love them 💜 ⁣
