From ideation to the photoshoot, here's a quick rundown of the last 10 months of planning + sampling + fitting + production. Makes it look so easy when put into 30 seconds. This is the non-glamourous side you don't get to see often but is my every day. We designed FW 23/24, keeping in mind that it's time to spoil ourselves a little bit. While always keeping comfort at the top of mind, we wanted to elevate things and give ourselves new pieces to keep looking pull together and adding DAUB into our work life as well as every day. Comfort isn't going anywhere and we're here for it. We can't wait to share this collection with you. It's been a while since we've introduced so much new, alongside your classic DAUB pieces. As a female founded and run company, my goal is to empower, uplift and dress women in their everyday lives. Since DAUB began in 2010, the company has become more than I had ever dreamed or planned. It is beyond just me at this point and cannot run without the hard work and dedication of everyone involved. From my production manager & assistants to retail sales associates, to our pattern makers and sewers, to our colleagues, social team and community, DAUB has surpassed my expectations. We are run by women and inspired by women like all of you. ⁠ ⁠ It's been an interesting time reflecting on my role in the company over the last few years. The brand has grown and with that comes a lot of change. I am no longer solely Creative Director, playing with colour and pattern. It's been a massive learning curve: understanding how to strategize, manage people & time, predict all case scenarios, budget, hire and run the day to day operations. I have to recognize where I am excelling and where I need both help and to work on my own skill sets. It's learning to minimize risk while still taking them. This is not easy during this time of economic stress and it's extremely difficult to do solo. Your support is really what keeps us moving forward. Hand Dyed, ONE of a kind goodness right here! Lexi, owner and creative behind @daubanddesign explores her education and interests in colour, pattern and function of high quality fabrics at Daub + Design. She artfully blends colour and texture to create unique works of art that are as individual as the women who wear them! Each tie-dye piece is created carefully and dye baths are exhausted to ensure little to no excess goes down the drain. Always working in limited editions to reduce their impact on the environment, producing only what is needed for each season.
