NEW EVENING MENU AT D’AUN! 🍛
📍 Hall Green, Birmingham

Hall Green’s hottest new brunch spot is now serving DINNER & with the incredibly talented Chef Munayam, formerly of Raja Monkey, heading up the kitchen, you can expect some seriously excellent Indian food!

We kicked things off with the Sharing Mixed Grill. Mutton chops, salmon tikka, seekh kebab & tangri tikka, all top quality & seriously tasty! We also tucked into some gorgeous crispy Onion Pakoras drizzled with sweet chilli dressing.

For mains, I went for the Bengali Roast Chicken, slow pot-roasted in rich caramelised onions & warming spices, served with chilli fried rice. Absolutely delicious with a lovely kick of spice!

My friend went for the Spiced Egg & Potato Curry with potatoes, warming spices & coconut milk. Now, if there’s one thing I don’t like, it’s eggs! 😂 But curiosity got the better of me & I tried some… I LOVED IT! Nobody was more surprised than me!

So lovely to see Chef Munayam back doing what he does best! If you’ve only visited D’aun for brunch, here’s your excuse to go back for dinner! It’s a winner!

** @daun.uk .! ** Hall Green — what an amazing experience!

First of all, the place itself looked absolutely stunning — such a beautiful, stylish and welcoming setting. The presentation of the food was equally impressive, and the service was honestly 10/10. The staff were so friendly, attentive and welcoming, which really made the whole experience even better.

Samosa Chaat
The samosa chaat was delicious! The samosa was lovely and crisp, with the yoghurt, tamarind and fresh chutneys giving it the perfect balance of sweet, tangy and spicy flavours. The sev added that extra crunch, and everything worked so well together. A really enjoyable starter!

Loaded Chips
The loaded chips were absolutely packed with flavour. The crispy seasoned fries topped with spiced keema, chilli cheese sauce, cooling yoghurt, crispy shallots and pickled onions made every bite so tasty. I especially loved the combination of heat, creaminess and crunch — definitely a dish I’d happily order again!

Chicken & Waffle
The chicken and waffles were such a great combination. The tempura-fried buttermilk chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside, while the waffles added a lovely sweetness. The sweet chilli drizzle brought everything together perfectly. Such a fun and satisfying dish!
Mango Lassi & Matcha
The mango lassi was creamy, refreshing and full of that lovely fruity mango flavour — the perfect accompaniment to the food. The matcha was also beautifully presented and made for a refreshing drink alongside the meal.

Overall, we had such a lovely experience at Dau’n. The food was delicious, the presentation was beautiful, the venue looked stunning and the service was genuinely 10/10. Definitely somewhere I’d recommend and would love to visit again!
