I cannot wait to go back to Alberta. It's a very complicated situation. I think of it as my happy place, even after all the hell it put me through last season. The value I charish the most is the ability help others and to fix the wounds of the broken. Looking through my camera roll and seeing all these pictures I took of the forest fires outside of slave Lake Alberta motivates me to go out and rebuild what was once a fierce boreal forest. I look to keep my career path solely on jobs that promote sustainability and I wish to share the importance with those that surround me. Unsustainable practice has unintentionally caused crisis in the world and it's worst than most can possibly imagine. Even myself, I'm a culprit for it. The best that we can do is to surround ourselves with the knowledge of outcomes of current practices along with taking a second think ahead before making a big and even a small decision. Just realize that with every breath you take, it impacts the world. It's your choice on how it will be impacted

Do you think I get more Christmas gifts for living with Santa? Or perhaps I get less 😱

Christmas cheer comes early here! Dave started playing Christmas jazz on 1st November and I'm not mad about it. A week later, he came back with Christmas decorations for the room, a basket of Christmas treats for passers-by to take (and boy do they empty it fast), and started making cute name tags for the floor (I'm not sure if I should worry about the placement of our own name tags though...).
And there's a random Christmas tree next to Andrew Hall!
