POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In 2019, I was told I had six months to live.

In one moment, everything I thought mattered… changed.

This is where my real journey began.

This one is more personal.

A piece of my story.

A piece of what shaped me.

Sometimes the path begins when life breaks the version of you that can no longer survive.

The signal was never meant for one person.

Somewhere along the way, the path becomes a gathering.

And the frequency becomes shared. 🪽🎶

The night doesn’t hide the way.

It reveals what you’re willing to trust.

Keep walking. 🌙🪽

You don’t find freedom by avoiding the unknown.

You find it by walking straight through it.

Keep going. 🪽🎶

The old self couldn’t contain me anymore.
So I jumped.

The Joy Awakener is born. 🪽🎶

A journey through sound, movement, freedom and transformation.

This is only the beginning.

We often turn other people’s distance into a reflection of ourselves.

We wonder if we were too much. Too open. Too deep. Too vulnerable. Whether we misread the connection. Whether we should have held back.

But depth between two people can never be created by one person alone.

People can only meet you as deeply as they have met themselves.

Their ability to truly meet you only goes as far as their willingness to face their own emotions, their patterns, and the parts of themselves they would rather avoid.

But someone can also know themselves deeply and still not be ready for real closeness with you in that moment.

Maybe they’re protecting themselves.
Maybe they’re avoiding what the connection brings up in them. Or maybe they simply don’t have the capacity to go beneath the surface right now.

That doesn’t make them wrong.
And it doesn’t make your depth too much.

It simply means that two people can only truly meet where both are willing and able to do so.

The real shift begins when you stop measuring your worth by how much of you someone else is capable of receiving.
.
@dave.embodiment thank you for this unforgettable night. Thank you for your care, your hugs ;-) and for being a space where I could feel so completely safe.

Oh wow, wow. What a beautiful birthday celebration.

I felt an undeniable urge to have a party this year, though I didn’t quite understand why. For the last three years, I’ve spent my birthdays in devotion, marking them through solemn prayer and quiet with God. But this year, a part of me was asking to be loved: the party girl who loved gathering people together and having fun.

Before everyone arrived, I sat wondering why this was the first birthday party I’d thrown in four years. And suddenly I saw it. The last time I went all in on celebrating my birthday, I was drugged and raped.

I realised that by keeping the party girl out of my life, I had somehow made her carry the blame for what happened to me. Welcoming her back felt like letting go of that blame.

Yesterday, as we shared our voices, heart songs and so much love, I got to be the life and soul of the party again. It felt like a reunion with myself.

Thank you to all the gorgeous humans who came and held space for me to celebrate myself. As I turn 39, I’m ready for the return of fun. ❤️

Some ideas sit for years before they're ready to become permanent. Dave's sat for thirty.

He got this one done with Indra, a Māori-inspired custom piece built around a concept Dave's carried with him for decades, tied to something specific happening in his life right now.

Indra talks through the technical side too, this design demanded real precision, the kind of linework that leaves no room for a shaky hand.

Watch the full video to hear his story.

If there's a design you've been putting off, this is your sign. Message us.
