Thank you to all the friends & strangers who rocked up to my opening last night at the Trop. It meant more to me than you probably know. There’s something ironic about the way artists spend a lifetime working in solitude, all in an attempt to connect with other humans. And opening parties are when we finally get to share our meditations on the strange business of being alive. Maybe it’s an ancient impulse. The caveman returning to the village to share the antelope he’d hunted. The artists’ contribution is the antelopes scrawled on the cave walls. I truly appreciate everyone who came to see my cave drawings last night. Gone Troppo will remain on display until the end of Sept. Come in for coffee, cocktails, comestibles and culture.
