Manchester Day 2026! What an amazing day! We were invited by @manchestercitycouncil and @walktheplankarts to lead a section of the parade, celebrating the work we have achieved together and flying the flag for peace, love, Carnival and diversity across Greater Manchester. Proper Manchester weather too 🌦️

Here are just some of the shots!

For those of you involved in the La Mercè exchange and The Worker Becomes Queen, this has become one of the city’s most celebrated international collaborations. We were so excited to bring the next chapter, The Return of the Queen, to the streets of Manchester for this special event.

It was epic to close the day in style in an 80-strong music and dance ensemble with @alwaysdrinkingmarchingband @mrwilsonssecondliners

Thanks to everyone involved on the day!
