“People underestimate the impact a sports coach can have on someone in just a few years”

I guess it impacted me more than I thought 🤔

I got to work and play for a coach who led me by example, maintained high ethics and values, taught me to compete to win while being humble, and reminded me to be quietly confident because of the hours of preparation I had put in. The list could go on, but these are life lessons that have shaped me professionally, and even personally.

My coach always told me and my teammates his primary objective was for us to end up being faithful husbands and loving fathers.
That always stuck with me.
It’s bigger than the sport, but the sport is the means by which those lessons are learned.

So we went to the hot springs yesterday surrounded by narnia. That was pretty neat.
