Been laying on the couch since I got home, letting the silence sink in after a busy, 3 full days at the 2026 Conference with the Association for the Treatment of Neuroplastic Symptoms.

Between learning and Fan Girling, I’m pooped. Can’t wait to start sharing with y’all what I learned after I’m done staring at the wall.

Driving around Dallas, Texas at 1am with Dr. Howard Schubiner in my passenger seat... what is this dream world that I’m living in??

And that was just one of about a hundred moments like it this week 🤯

It started with a few friends from this field coming to stay with me in Austin, and then we drove up to Dallas together for the ATNS conference (Association for the Treatment of Neuroplastic Symptoms). 7 full days of the most amazing stuff!

I spent the week surrounded by people doing this work, hearing story after story of people getting their lives back. I hung out with my gurus, the trailblazers of this whole field, like that’s just a normal thing I do now. And I got to present at the conference on the main stage, which I still can’t quite believe.
I’m so proud to be part of this movement. The way people understand and treat chronic pain, chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), long COVID, and other debilitating conditions is changing, and the people in these photos are a big reason why ❤️

A massive heartfelt thank you to every single one of you doing incredible work in this field. I loved and will treasure every single conversation we had over the past few days!

And to those of you who are living life with a chronic condition, even bigger hugs to you and a reminder if you need it to keep going because people do fully recover from these conditions 🫂❤️

ATNS 2026 was an amazing experience!

I challenged myself to present in front of a crowd of 300, learned so much about various topics in the neuroplastic pain world, and met lots of new people in this growing field👏🏻

I’m feeling inspired leaving Dallas!

Oh and I found out line dancing is NOT for me😂

We learned all about:
- development and research on programs for post-concussive syndrome, fibromyalgia, mold reactions
- how play, joy, and pleasure need to be part of our practice—not a reward for healing
- the scientific explanation of how mast cells respond to stress and why this work supports recovering from MCAS
- and the exciting addition of Neuroplastic Symptom Recovery Coaches (NSRC) to the ATNS directory and team of providers! 💜

My biggest takeaway today is that this work is not just a medical treatment. It’s a way of living that works for everyone who feels physical or emotional pain.

The ATNS conferences have been so fun to attend these last 2 years. The presentations are so well done, and there is time before and after to meet and talk to your favorite researchers, authors, podcasters etc in this field.

ATNS stands for the “Association for the Treatment of Neuroplastic Symptoms”. Meaning research based ways using neuroplasticity to treat and cure chronic pain and health conditions.

You may be surprised how many diagnoses can be changed by reprocessing or unlearning pain!
