It’s hard to put into words what Marvin means to all of us. From 1999–2001, I had the honor of coaching him, and he was truly one of the best kids any coach could ask for. Respectful, hardworking, humble, and always full of heart…the kind of person who made everyone around him better.

Marvin wasn’t just an athlete to us, he became family. The memories, laughs, and moments we shared will always stay with the us coaches and everyone who knew him. He will forever have a special place in all of our hearts.

Thank you for the memories, Marvin. We’re proud to have been part of your journey and even more proud of the man you became. You will never be forgotten. ❤️

And then there’s The Dragon Style Ricky Lee. A true Bay Area-Daly City icon, a legend who paved the way for the mobile DJ scene. I always wanted to be part of SBC because that name hit different: Style Beyond Compare! And Rick’s been killin’ it on the airwaves since way back.

It’s true, there was a lot of competition in the mobile DJ scene, a lot of ego, a lot of “one-upping”. For me? I never fed into that. I showed love because they had style, they had a squad, and they repped their city & crew strong. 💪🏼

Much love to the whole SBC fam. And major respect to the legend himself, Rick Lee of 106 KMEL.
