Here we go again ….
The alarm chirped at 5:15 a.m.

As I drove toward our sunrise portrait session, Lou Reed’s Perfect Day came on the radio. Somehow it felt exactly right.

This muse and educator is a performer, a comedian, a spiritual guide, and one of the most original thinkers I’ve met. His yoga instruction has improved my practice, his perspective has also helped me embrace this stage of life with a little more grace and a lot less resistance.

Every now and then you meet someone who refuses to fit into a 📦.

Yogi. Performer. Philosopher. Wildly original thinker.

Over the past few months, this remarkable human has helped me deepen my yoga practice while also embrace that aging isn’t something to fight—it’s something to understand and accept.

After a long campaign of persuasion, I finally got him in front of my camera. We slipped away to the magnificent lookout near our morning class, chased the early light, and had absolute good vibes!

“Yoga Ballet, MEOW!”

Here’s some highly trained Yogi’s acting like some “April Fool’s “ on this April 1st 2026 day!
My sister @dalinejonesofficial and I went to IYT Yoga Teacher Training way back in January 2001, for 2 weeks of yoga everyday all day in the Everglades of Florida.

Daline went on to become an amazing Certified Yoga Teacher, ( she still teaches yoga classes twice a week, even with her busy schedule of nightly Jazz singing gigs!) and it wasn’t my desire to teach, but I went for the training.
Yoga is an important & big part of both of our lives, and we always have so much FUN when we practice together. Even if we go to a serious yoga class, we can’t look at each other,… bcuz we will bust out laughing 😆!
Always remember , like my instructor Daveed always says, “Smile, it’s not that serious …its just yoga“😊
Have a great month of April!
