That's a wrap on An Innocent Girl. Beyond grateful to @katearizmendi for the opportunity to carry this film across the finish line over the last few weeks. Also grateful for our director Jaume and such an incredible group of creatives and crew that made photographing this film such a pleasant experience. What a fun, wild ride!

that’s a wrap on An Innocent Girl, directed by Jaume Collet-Sera - an erotic thriller by Netflix starring Kerry Washington, James Marsden, Chloe East, and Colman Domingo. I was lucky to be given the opportunity to shoot this film knowing I’d give birth before wrapping, with Jaume’s trust and amazing collaboration. @jchema took over for the last 3 weeks to finish strong ✊🏼 We truly had an insanely talented crew on this one and every day was a blast💛

I tested 12 sets of anamorphic lenses and fell in love with the Legacy Series designed by Stephen Gelb at @lensworksrentals. As one of the first long form projects to shoot on them, he engraved my daughters name on them 🥹♥️

Bluetip "Post Mortem Anthem"

I saw the opportunity to expand on my Bluetip and knabbed a compilation album that was released in 2001. One more LP or 12" and they will be earning a divider as well. Bluetip features Jason Farrell and Dave Stern of Swiz.

Sweetbelly Freakdown "The Long Haul"

As you can probably tell Sweetbelly Freakdown is Swiz related. In fact, its the exact final lineup of Swiz in sort of a reunion to start something new. I got to met all of them at the DC Swiz book release. That was a great day for sure.

BANDCAMP FRIDAY… Small batch of extra LPs from the @swiz_dc box set are now available from @dischordrecords … debut 12” and “Rejects / Down / With Dave” (3x7’s on a 12”). Classic black vinyl… on point for those late 80’s angsty/psyched vibes.

Thanks to everyone in San Francisco who came out to the last Swiz book event. It was an honor to share the night with Radio Silence (a book I strongly suggest you pick up!! Second edition now available from @revelationrecords ). It was a joy to see so many old friends and friendly faces to share in a conversation on this culture we love, support, and continue to create in real time. thank you @christopherrobinduncan and @etalgallerysf for making it happen. For those that couldn’t make it out to SF, DC, LA, or NYC, we still have a limited amount of shirts, books, and a few Swiz box sets available to buy…drop us a DM!

One moment has stuck with me since. A woman briefly derailed the panel and its 80’s/90’s-HC-nostalgia-huffing by insisting we talk about a far more pressing issue: the murder of yet another person by ICE agents that very morning. She was drunk, obnoxious, and not offering any solutions… but she was not wrong. just broken-hearted. We do need to talk about it…to constantly make it be known where we stand on what’s going on. So in that spirit of clarity, I would like to say I am not buying whatever justification, excuse, or lie is given or fabricated for harassing and killing American humans or non-American humans in the street, in their cars, in their homes, or in a detention center.

If you feel you can’t escape this surround-sound assault – the sinking sense that horrible things are happening and you feel angry, or powerless, or overwhelmed – just know it is by design. It is the continuation and escalation of tactics designed to create fear, division, and chaos as cover for a power grab whose success relies on you giving up. Take your breaks when you can to catch your breath, get centered, get calm…then get back at it. Keep witnessing, filming, speaking out, challenging, protesting, fighting, thinking, creating, and building something better that’s rooted in love, joy, inclusion, and strength.

But if you’re someone who feels totally cool with this situation then take a moment to try and understand why someone might be concerned or outraged…a quick gut-check with your heart and your mind. I hope you find something of value in either.
