It looks like a race. Behind the scenes, it's a risk management exercise... For us anyway!

For The Grand Tour in Angola, the team had to find a way to deliver a high-speed street race on a circuit without the safety infrastructure you'd expect from an international track.

That meant:

→ Locally sourced vehicles needed thorough mechanical checks
→ The track itself presented additional risks
→ Dust and sand could affect driving conditions
→ The team had to account for the additional risk posed by other vehicles on the circuit
→ Medical provision had to account for the realities of working remotely in Angola

An Aeromedical Retrieval Consultant doctor was on location throughout the shoot, alongside the wider safety, driving and production teams.

The result? The presenters could do what The Grand Tour does best, while the production team had a plan for what could go wrong.

High-risk filming isn't about taking the risk out. It's about understanding it well enough to manage it.

Another Olympiad post because it was mega and my camera roll is full of great moments. ❤️‍🔥

⬆️ Me and @jessglassberg about the check out the route.

Moments before traversing on to the face and sending. Such a wild place to start a climb from!

Bring your daughter to work day! Pretty epic to have Frankie come see me on Olympiad. My sister paddled her around from a nearby beach.

Pembroke sunsets are next level.

Pre send ice cream gains with @zleibs #💪

Bad conditions for climbing this day but the girls and @jonglassberg still went full send at the beach

@neil.gresham showing me the ropes, literally! This guy made this send happen. The absolute best mentor. Very grateful indeed!

I wanted to play with the fun camera 😂

Some days were a total write off. Getting conditions on this thing is such a battle!

I literally would never have done this climb without these two!

Hand jam discussions @neil.Gresham whilst @jessglassberg gets the shot

All time crew! Can we do it all again sometime?

Post send beach day.

Zoe teaching the girls how to shuck scallops for a post send fish bbq celebration

A magical evening eating fresh fish from the ocean with wonderful humans

Just some very chill waves after a lovely final day swim.

WHAT A PROJECT! Amazing to have worked with such an awesome team to document & achieve this accomplishment by @shaunacoxsey climbing the UK’s hardest Deep water Solo route here close to our home in stunning Pembrokeshire.. After months of planning and praying that the weather, sea state and rock conditions would all align, everything came together and Shauna absolutely smashed Olympiad 8b. We were proud to provide jet ski & in water free dive safety, boats for access and filming and underwater freedive filming for the upcoming release coming soon.
Thanks to @redbull @redbulladventure & the awesome team who made this happen & showcase this amazing part of the World 💙👊🏼
Big thanks to Tenby Surf Lifesavers for all their help throughout

Luzzone Dam Busters Squad ‘25 💥 As far as cool locations go, the Luzzone Dam was pretty epic - rigging and setting a 165m climbing route, as well as actually getting a few shots at climbing the whole route before filming!

THE BUDDY SYSTEM

Everyone talks about it — few really understand it.

For us, the buddy system isn’t “one goes right, one goes left” when we hit the beach.

It’s constant awareness.
A clear overlook of your buddy in the water.

Eyes on. Ready. Present.

Your buddy is there to support you,
and to act immediately if the worst ever happens.

But buddy diving goes beyond safety.
A good buddy helps you spot fish,
share the water,
and make smarter decisions throughout the dive.

Two divers watching the reef often see twice as much.

And when the day ends, the stories are always better when they’re shared.

Because in spearfishing, you don’t dive alone — even when you’re underwater.

Dive smart. Dive together. 🌊🤿

The People Bringing the Ideas to life 💡

Finding people who can keep pace with the chaos of TV and film and help enable, not obstruct, is tough, that's why we invest so heavily in our people.

We handpick each member of our team for their unique global experience. From expert riggers to medical professionals, these are the people who bring those ambitious ideas to life.

Technical rigging at the top of the tallest climbing wall in the world 🪢

Battling snow, cold conditions and 165m of climbing wall, we rigged two setups on the set of Limitless with @chrishemsworth

The first setup was to belay Chris, and the second was to secure the camera to capture the climb.

This truly was an epic project to work on 🧗

Getting to rig the challenges is one thing — getting to test them is another 😅💪

One of the rope setups for Fox’s “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” - There’s nothing like hanging out (literally) to make sure everything’s ready before the cameras are rolling and the recruits take it on.

Talk is cheap. You can hypothesise all you want but if you’re not actually doing it for real as well as working through the potential scenarios, you’re leaving your team wide open.
