3 years ago we took a huge risk and left the London rat race, a job I loved and a home near family to move to Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We dreamt of bringing up our son in a better place. I was also done with the commuting. So we bought a renovation house at auction and made the move permanent. I was so worried… what if we made the wrong decision?!

Has it been easy? No, we had some struggles along the way for sure and it has been tough not living close to family and help.

But 3 years later, we have another son and nearly at the end of our house renovation, we have truly made this place home.

Wales you’ve stolen my heart, and nothing could take me back now. I feel so lucky we get to bring up our boys experiencing this incredible place!

2024 Adventures 🏞️

There were too many to put in this video. So grateful both our boys love the outdoors as much as us. Our adventures are getting easier with Finley now able to walk more himself and Jackson needing less baby stuff to travel with. It was so nice looking back at all the adventures, days out and fun activities we’ve done. It’s almost easy to forget how much we’ve truly done. The year started off with a whole lot of misery as our house flooded New Years Day 2024 after the builders messed up. A whole lot of corrections, hard work and stress later the house is back on track and very nearly fully renovated 🎉 Plus I got to experience The Eras Tour TWICE 🥹

This year I’m not making a specific New Year’s Resolution, but I’m going to try my hardest to not sweat the small stuff. After a shock loss of a family member this year, I want to make the health and wellness of our family a priority - this definitely includes even more outdoors time and growing more in our allotment 🫶🏼

I’m excited for everything we have planned in 2025. Here’s to hiking more, exploring more of Wales and visiting more of the World with our boys 🙌🏻

My absolute FAVE flowers and one of my favourite Summer activities…

🌻Sunflowers 😍

[AD] This year we visited @pickingpatch Bristol for the first time. We weren’t disappointed. There’s more to do here than just Sunflower picking too 🥰 I’m also very glad the rain held off for our afternoon visit - we were prepared with wellies and raincoats regardless ☔️

It only opened this weekend so there are plenty of Sunflowers left in the fields for the perfect activity before Summer holidays are over.

3 year olds: one minute you’re their favourite, the next they want nothing to do with you 😅 I used to take it personally, now I know it’s all another phase. Literally, 10 minutes before this Finley was picking the lavender especially for me, the next he didn’t want to be near me 🙈 At least, I’m the baby’s favourite still!

depicts exactly why I wanted to take my children to a festival. We were jumping around to Kelis singing ‘bounce’ and a woman asked if she could take a photo of us as it was such a perfect family moment. And I’m so, so glad she did. These are the moments I want to secure in my memory forever 🙌🏻

If you’ve been debating whether you should take your kids to a festival or not… do it!!! You won’t regret it.

Today we went for a lovely walk at one of the local nature reserves. It’s one of the places we visited a lot during the last few weeks of my pregnancy last year. The weekends are so much nicer when the sun is shining and the sky is blue. Yesterday we had a lovely walk to the seafront all together and had fish and chips for lunch. Well, it was nice until Finley started screaming on the way home because he was tired and mummy and daddy forgot his dummy 🤦🏼‍♀️.
It feels weird that tomorrow we are leaving this place that has been our home over the last 8 months to return back to Hertfordshire. We really love Penarth and are planning a move back permanently. I can’t wait! 🥰
