Happy 22nd Birthday @parkrunuk 🎈

I was a late parkrun bloomer only starting in 2017, but I think I’ve made up for it now! Thank you for all the places, people, dogs, runs, walks, swims, and cake along the way. @ggportsmouth @pendletonperry and I celebrated in tutus at Brighton and Hove parkrun. That leaves me with only two left to do in Brighton and I definitely need to fit in a swim next time. A new parkrun has popped up again near Worthing so another excuse for a @catburglardoughco visit again soon!

Thanks folks for the birthday love. Had a smashing 24 hours in London, before spending a more chilled Sunday with the kid.

I can't decide which was my @londonathleticsmeet highlight - @joshhkerr breaking the mile record, or my dad going for a high-five whilst Babs the Bull went for a fist bump.

Everybody needs good neighbours ♥️

Delighted to meet up with our @ggportsmouth friends recently at Highcliffe Beach parkrun to celebrate @ellie_thiswomancanrun 300th parkrun and 100th volunteer. We had runners, walkers, volunteerers, sea swimmers and cake eaters!

🥳 🎂 🙌

Nearly two weeks since I ran my 300th parkrun and volunteered for the 100th time. What an awesome morning with @goodgymsouthampton @ggportsmouth @longplayerrunning and canicross friends at Highcliffe Beach parkrun. What good parkrun dogs @maple_and_rowan_wheatens were (apart from Rowan’s little bit of mischief). It’s a definite must visit location if you’re visiting Dorset with added sea swim bonus!

Now I’m trying not to get too excited for very exciting parkrun / weekend plans with @dannidiver1 @laura.elizabeth89 that have been in planning for MONTHS!!

More from my 300th parkrun and 100th volunteer 🎉 Too much fun was had with @ggportsmouth @goodgymsouthampton @longplayerrunning and canicross pals and floofs. And definitely too much sun for me 🙊 Thanks everyone for indulging my silly antics!

P.S. I wonder who stole the parkwalking bunny, cones at the turn around and knocked all the tokens everywhere @maple_and_rowan_wheatens?! 😂

The BEST morning celebrating my 300th parkrun and 100th volunteer milestone at Highcliffe Beach parkrun with @ggportsmouth @goodgymsouthampton @longplayerrunning and canicross friends ♥️

It’s been nearly 9 years in the making! I couldn’t have wished for a better bunch of people (and dogs) to celebrate with. And what a warm welcome we got at this lovely parkrun that is on its 22nd event. It’s two laps, of mostly an out and back route, on some rocky and sandy terrain with a nice little hill. I’ve unfortunately now wiped out all my NENDYs within an hour so will be needing some new parkruns to start 🙊 I went with a “300” (Spartan) themed attire…actually “glamorous Roman lady” costume with homemade shield and dagger (courtesy of my 43 yr old sibling)!

More to come because I couldn’t squeeze all the fun into one post 🤩

A Staggeringly Good Saturday at @therexsarms with the Nottingham gang. Does seven people beat any records for the taproom photo booth?

Happy 1st Birthday @meonvalleytrailparkrun 🎂

@goodgym on tour with representatives from @goodgymsouthampton @ggportsmouth and @goodgymnottingham visiting this morning for the birthday celebrations. It’s an out and back route along the old railway line so flat and mostly hard packed (in the dry weather!) with a more gravelled section to start.

I wasn’t looking forward to it with having flashbacks to several long distance running events with out and back sections on the Meon Valley Trail 😳 but I don’t think I’ve actually been to this bit and it is very pretty along the trail and in the village. Plus I knew I only had to do 1.5 miles out before turning around which is a much better distance! 😂 It’s a good time to visit as the bluebells are all coming out. This was my NENDY and I’ve managed to save it a whole year. There was lots of cake to finish, including delicious vegan chocolate cake, and I did token sorting on the very posh board which makes it a bit quicker to do! I had to take a walk into Wickham afterwards to find the parkrun postbox topper which is amazing too.

Medal Monday 🥇 What a fun morning spent volunteering with @ggportsmouth supporting @portsmouthhospitalscharity Colour Run. So many smiley, happy, colourful runners and walkers, and so much money raised for the charity. All I want to do is colour runs now! @blue_bear_runs says he’ll do another one too as he was treated like the King as he passed through the paint stations unsplattered! 👑

Congratulations to @davemrrp on your 500th Good Deed with GoodGym! We celebrated with a litter pick in Milton Park and a cheeky drink at @thebrewerstap - nice one!
