Up on Round Top today (on a rare trip there pre-snow season) had me reminiscing about one of the times we took the splits up the couloir.

It is such a fun peak in any season. You can choose your own adventure.

📍DRAGON PEAK 🐉 : 12,955 ft

After some last minute changes because of snow conditions, we snagged the last two permits for Golden Trout lakes and set our goal for Dragon peak . This is one I have yet to try because I’ve always been too scared of the infamous traverse to the summit. The pictures online make it look so scary …. It’s not , once you’re on it . Admittedly once I got up to the traverse I told @daves.adventure “ fuck that , I’ll just wait here.” . After watching Dave cross it , my “fuck that “ without hesitation , became “fuck it”. Easy as cake ! And the most enjoyable part of the entire scramble.

The real reason we didn’t climb the West Ridge. I think it was my bouncy trot that gave me the migraine or maybe just take 1,2,3,120 that did me in 🤣 @daves.adventure

Getting after it on Dome Rock today!
📍TREE ROUTE 5.6
The first two pitches of this were a struggle for me. Maybe a combination of the Barfy car drive in, the scorching heat and the sustained vertical crack which felt endless .But the last two pitches were cruiser. Thanks for the great lead @daves.adventure
So fun to get on a route neither of us have tried and crush it !
