Turning 23 I thought I’d have life a little more figured out, turns out this has been one of the most challenging summers/ year of my life, spiritually, mentally emotionally I have been tested in ways I never thought I would. I have realized more about myself this summer than ever before. I felt alone in crowded rooms, even tho people showed up for me, I still felt alone. Don’t get me wrong everyone that came through at some point this summer made an impact in my life and I hold dearly in my heart. But I had to learn to be okay with it just being me and God. I have always felt I needed someone to be okay, but I was never more wrong. I had to learn to be okay by myself in the midst of chaos and I’m not perfect, I still struggle with anxiety, stress etc. but it’s a matter of taking that first step into the right direction. The future will never be certain, the only thing that is for certain is that if you don’t take that first step you will be stuck in that little bubble you call “safe” or “comfortable“, I am still not certain of the outcome after this summer. I’ve dealt with more stress, more heartache, more anxiety then I have ever before. But “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬
So I will choose to continue to take that next step even tho I don’t know the outcome of it. And if you’re reading this and you know what I’m talking about just know you’re not in it alone. Even tho you may feel alone. You’re not! I want to encourage you to take that first step, especially when it’s scary! Thank you for listening to my rant, and thank you for those who came through this summer, much love 🫶
