Y’all… Magic always happens at the pub. People sit down at the corner of the bar and become fast friends. I’ve never known each other before.

I’ve known this lovely man, David Gotwald, for almost 40 years. He would babysit my dogs, as he ruled Broadway’s sound boards. Picking up where we left off, after a few decades…..

Today’s Voice Lab, a Q&A session for students with the legendary @phyliciarashad , was one of the most transformative classes that I have witnessed in years. Ms. Rashad brought humanity, connectivity, and love into our classroom and bestowed so much wisdom, warmth, and power to those in our space. I am so grateful for these experiences at @cmudrama . A huge thank you to the brilliant Gary Kline for arranging this experience for our school. Wow. My cup runneth over...

Today is a double header for Midnight Radio as Lauren Highlands middle school students perform the plays they wrote during the Bricolage residency AND we have our own performance of Oz opening downtown tonight at 8pm. Here's a shot of our fantastic teaching artists making magic happen away while we hold down the fort here at home.

She is sitting on a school stage and behind her are Jason Coll (our music director) at a piano and Sam Turich (our head of education).
