🔥 RECOVERY TO THE NET — REACTION & TRANSITION DRILL

Save this drill and try it in your next session. 🎾🔥

A simple drill with a big purpose: train your reaction, overhead execution and recovery back to the net — all using the same ball.

🎾 PART 1 — VOLLEY → OVERHEAD → RECOVERY
The player starts with a forehand volley to the coach. The coach returns the same ball with a lob, forcing the player to react quickly, adjust, play the overhead, and immediately recover back towards the net.

The key is that there is no reset between shots. Everything happens with the same ball, making the drill much more game-realistic and demanding.

🎾 PART 2 — VOLLEY → OVERHEAD → RECOVERY → BACKHAND VOLLEY
The second sequence starts with a forehand played to the coach. The player then has to react to the coach’s return, recover with the same ball and finish the sequence with a backhand recovery volley.

💡 What are we training?
• Reaction & decision-making
• Overhead preparation and execution
• Recovery speed towards the net
• Transition from defence to attack
• Maintaining intensity without resetting the point
• Reaching the net in a balanced position, ready for the next ball

The goal isn’t just to hit the shot — it’s to recover and be ready for the next one.
