A CLEAN SHEET WORTH BUILDING ON. 🧱🩷

For the first time in seven MLS matches, Inter Miami walked off the pitch without conceding a goal.

Saturday’s 4-0 victory over D.C. United wasn’t just about Messi and Suárez finding the back of the net. It was about a defensive unit delivering something Miami has desperately needed in recent weeks: stability.

Dayne St. Clair came up with two saves, including an important early stop, while Gonzalo Luján, Casemiro, Micael, and Sergio Reguilón helped keep D.C. United off the scoresheet.

Despite registering 14 shots, the visitors managed just two on target, a positive sign for a Miami side that has struggled defensively throughout its recent run of results.

But one clean sheet doesn’t erase those struggles.

With the postseason approaching, consistency at the back could prove just as important as the attacking brilliance that has carried this team throughout the campaign.

The question now: Can Miami turn one strong defensive performance into a consistent standard?

💬 What needs to happen for the Herons to maintain this defensive form heading into the playoffs?
