Next Saturday is first Saturday Evanston!

I’m lucky enough to have art in a few places around town…

Curt’s Cafe on Central—Sholo and I are all about color & it’s popping! It’s on display now with an official opening 2/11 @ 5:30

@ccoworking — New paintings from my Shemah series, Speaking from the soul. @davidbender is sharing this space with me, so plenty of art to satiate your soul and engage your mind

@originalartevanston — @artsie_edu is highlighting the art of its teaching artists! You’ll find art by @artistsholo, @lafriedlander, @yanceyfoto (Yancey Hughes photography) @artistapiloto, @iamcreatv (Andrew Walker) and gallery owner, Russell Muits.

Artist's Spotlight: David Bender!

"My work intertwines 19th-century photographs with whimsical objects and animals, creating playful, surreal, and haunting worlds. Titled 'The Forgotten Lives Project', these reimagined images aim to bring life to long-lost souls and tell a new story."

See David's work here at Creative Coworking until the end of March!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Creative Coworking 15th anniversary celebration & gallery night!

It was fun to share the stage with the extraordinarily talented @davidbender. If you don’t know his work, check it out! He collects photographs from the late 1800s and creates a mysterious & imaginative scene using collaged photographs to feature them.

And a big thank you to my two new collectors, Jen and Ira. I appreciate you so much and love that these two small works are going to the same home: Rebirth and Mending.

The show is up for at least another month. Stop by anytime from 9-5. There are 3 floors of local artists!!

Grateful for Angela & @ccoworking for supporting local art and her staff of Lily & Greta are fantastic.

Postcard moments and a few personal favorites from the Evanston Made Members Group Show opening at the Evanston Art Center.

Grateful to @thelisadshow and @lizrc2013 for the invitation to be part of this show—as both an artist and a tastemaker. It’s a joy to contribute to a community that so thoughtfully celebrates local creativity.

Congratulations to the organizers and all the artists whose vision, dedication, and talent made this exhibition possible—and heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to support us. Your presence matters deeply.

The exhibition is on view through June 30, with most of the artwork available for purchase. This is a meaningful opportunity to begin your art collection—or thoughtfully expand it—while championing independent artists in Evanston.

Free and open to the public.
