Charlie got to have an outing on Sunday 💙 He was such a dude scoring 62% in his novice dressage test, and first time in the white boards since June! And our amazing @hdrc_area_15 came 2nd! 🤩. Our 80cm Arena Eventing team also came 2nd 💙 So all in all a good day out! Exciting news. Bow House Equestrian is holding Qualifiers for the Cricklands Championship of GB. You can qualify for both the Winter and the Summer Championships.
Cricklands is at the DAVID BROOME event centre and is a great venue.
The Winter Championships is April 10th - 12th and the qualifying period is from now until April 4th.
The Summer Championships is August 14th - 16th and the qualifying period is from 12th April until 15th August.
To qualify you have to jump a double clear…. So go clear the whole way round in single phase or jump clear in both rounds of our immediate jump of classes. The heights you can qualify for are. 60cm. 70cm. 80cm. 90cm and 1 m. You can qualify for as many heights as you like. AND there is prize money at the Championship and Fabulous Rosettes. This is an unaffiliated COMPETITON and is fun and the weekends are always good at the DAVID BROOME shows. @davidbroomeeventcentre

IS THIS ROAST THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN SOUTH WALES? 🤭 invite

When I first found out there was a huge sharing roast dinner platter hidden inside a horse riding centre, I couldn’t believe it! 👀 @thepavilioncaldicot lies within David Broome event centre in Caldicot, roughly a 35 minute drive from Cardiff. It’s a very random set up for a non-horse girly like me but it’s one of the most impressive roast dinners I’ve eaten 😍

This was my third visit and I was SO excited to find out they are now back open until March serving up their roasts!! 🙌🏽 The platter is £80, made for 4 to share, but honestly you could easily feed 5 with this bad boy. We always end up with some takeaway boxes!

Packed with sirloin beef, roast chicken, braised lamb and alllll the trimmings including my favourite brisket stuffed Yorkshires 🤤 It’s a feast for the eyes and belly..

I’ve said it before, it’s one I’d like to gatekeep but it’s too good not to share 😍

Day 1 at Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Early start to be on the road by 5am!! Good journey up here to manage it in under 4 hours! 🥳

Time for Woody to settle in his stable before tackling his first ever derby 😬. He jumped his first ever BS CLEAR ROUND!!! 🥳 We might have got 8 time faults as we took it steady for the bank, dyke and bridge for his first time! He finished 12th out of 25!!

Next up was the Newcomers which was in the smallest ring so rather challenging on a big, gangly horse. He was jumping super but we had a miss communication around a blind bend which resulted in him being so honest and jumping but landing on the fence. We carried on just for 1 other pole but couldn’t have been prouder of him for ignoring the error and carrying on like a pro!! Finishing on 8 faults for 15th out of 23.

Tomorrow we tackle the Discovery and Newcomers so fingers crossed he’s still feeling good 🤞🏻
