“I love the concept of polishing a stone or a diamond; taking it out of something hard, difficult, dark and dirty. You work on it and polish it so that it turns out to be something beautiful. I feel like I could apply that to myself personally as well as the process of making the album. I worked on it, trying to make it as beautiful as possible” - Bad Gyal, Dazed, 2024.

*Mantra for today*

Today we will get up and wash ourselves of the contemporary filth and make ourselves ready with the glitz and gloss and satin sheen required to conceal this grief and somehow paw at the contours of the world until dusk settles in until sleep comes and this wandering can continue behind closed eyes above clenched fists.
