SUCH an amazing honor getting to moderate the Q&A for such a fun, wild, intense, spookablastic, rage scream of an emotional rollercoaster of a movie all told through the visual language of maximalist expressionism body horror…the newly LA premiered HUMAN from @darkskyfilms.

Director Matt AKA Ryan (🤦‍♀️) Stuertz @mattstuertz Producer David Pitt @davidchristopherpitt and Star Jackie Kelly @actressjackiekelly are amazing voices in the horror community. They made a movie about and featuring a whole lot of blood, sweat and tears from truly their own blood, sweat and tears, and now it’s out in the world for the world to get to enjoy too.

To quote the protagonist Dani (a mashup between Repulsion’s Deneuve and Evil Dead’s Campbell): “There’s no happy ending for me, there’s dead bodies everywhere, and I killed them.”

There’s a whole lot of emotions to unpack here, but they’re all brilliantly packaged in the kind of colorful kaleidoscope that make them exciting to.

And also a fart remix of Bald Mountain (Fart Mountain?) 🤘

Decide for yourselves whether Dani has a happy ending or not, and watch HUMAN on @primevideo out TODAY!

And thank you @thejoelynch for watching with me and being my best hubby photographer extraordinaire and movie date always ❤️

I’m finally giving The Wolf in the Well to the world.

Starring Ray Wise, this five-minute proof-of-concept is a glimpse of the feature film I hope to make.

I’m also proud to unveil our new cover art, designed by the golden god himself, Brock Russell.

Find it on YouTube at youtube.com/adamzanzie. Please give it a watch and share it with anyone who might enjoy it.

This film is a tribute to my dad, Don Zanzie — the greatest man I’ve ever known.

After keeping this film close for so long, I’m excited to finally share it with all of you.

UPDATE (10/24/2026): Yesterday I accidentally uploaded a credit-less version of the film; I’ve replaced that with a link to the actual final cut.

COMING TO SELECT THEATERS & VOD/DIGITAL PLATFORMS OCTOBER 23RD FROM DARK SKY FILMS

Friends, Lovers, Enemies, Frenemies, Little Guns, Bigger Guns, Love, Hate, Life, Death, and Things A Hell Of A Lot More Super Than Natural

Dark Sky Films announces the October 23rd release of HUMAN, a new horror film written and directed by Matt Stuertz. After freaking out - and grossing out - audiences at Fright Fest and Obscura Film Fest, HUMAN will be available in select theaters & on VOD and Digital Platforms October 23rd.

HUMAN follows Dani Ferris (Jackie Kelly), who is alone and exhausted past the point of reason. What she wanted: a little tease of digital debauchery before bed. What she’s going to get: a blood-drenched supernatural nightmare of horrors and heartbreak.

With the claustrophobic feeling of a single-night thriller and an abundance of bodily fluids, HUMAN throws its heroine into a story where every relationship is a gamble and every hour brings a new threat. Director Stuertz, who also produced the film, keeps the pressure rising as Dani rides a roller coaster of emotions she never saw coming.

HUMAN was written and directed by Matt Stuertz (Tonight She Comes, RWD) and produced by Matt Stuertz and David Christopher Pitt. The film stars Jackie Kelly, Brock Russell, Cecily Dowd, Jeffrey Decker and Mia Sydney.

Official Synopsis: It’s past midnight and Dani Ferris is all alone. Away from home. Tired as hell. Not prepared for the roller coaster of emotions she’s about to ride front-row. Sleep? Lol. Nope. Tonight is a night for friends, lovers, enemies, frenemies, little guns, bigger guns, love, hate, life, death, and things a hell of a lot more super than natural. A night Dani will never forget. And neither will he.

What Dani wanted: a little sexting before bed. What she's going to get: a blood-drenched supernatural nightmare of horrors and heartbreak. Sometimes the universe just sucks, doesn't it?

🔥 **Available August 12th from Defiant Screen Entertainment — WINTER BATTLEGROUND** 🔥

Big thanks to @defiantscreenentertainment for sending this one over for the Blood Popcorn shelf.

Now this one looks like proper angry sci-fi/action chaos.

**WINTER BATTLEGROUND** is being pitched as **RAMBO meets A QUIET PLACE**, which is a pretty bloody wild combo.

So basically: one rogue soldier hiding in the forest, an AI-controlled regime hunting him down, elite assassins, cybernetic soldiers, corrupted machines, and America being one bad algorithm away from complete takeover.

I haven’t watched this one yet, but come on — a forest survival action movie with killer AI, cyber soldiers, and **Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone** in the mix? Yep, that has absolutely gone onto the watch pile.

This looks like the kind of movie where someone definitely says “we’re being hunted” about five seconds before a machine tries to ruin everyone’s afternoon.

Starring **Donald Cerrone, Johnny Messner, Kayleigh Gilbert & Jeffrey Decker**.
Directed by **David Christopher Pitt**.

**WINTER BATTLEGROUND** is available August 12th.
