POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Twenty Twenty-Five… what a year. Truth be told, I headed into this year with complete optimism, and then the first half of 2025 ended up being extremely lousy. However, by July things suddenly picked up, and it’s been a nonstop grind ever since.

Let me tell you a story: In 1995, a low-budget slasher film called “Jack-O” landed on video store shelves all over the country. Over the years its notoriety among horror movie fans led to it becoming a cult classic.

In 2024 I went to Mississippi to work on a movie with Andrew Stevens, and to his shock, I was the only crewmember who knew about the movie “Jack-O” despite my age. Andrew would then proceed to call me “Jack-O Pierce” for the remainder of the production.

As fate would have it, just a year later I would have the pleasure of serving as the 1st Assistant Director on Jack-O's long-awaited sequel thirty years later, this time starring the legendary Sybil Danning and Richard Gabai!

Against all odds, we made the film across an intense 11 days. It was an exhausting experience, but it was also exhilarating. Movies are a bitch to make… it’s amazing that we bother making them.

In an ironic twist, halfway into the production I ended up having to take the mantle of playing the titular Jack-O and wear the monster suit. I truly lived up to the name, "Jack-O Pierce". Incredible times! I am grateful for the experience and I wouldn’t trade it for anything

As for 2026… I don’t know where it’ll take me. I have plans in motion, and I am ready for any challenge. There were a lot of lessons learned this year, tough lessons. That's why they call it "character development." Sayonara 2025. Happy New Year! 🙂

P.S. We’re already halfway through this decade. Can you believe that?
