GEN Z —- YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TO WORK HARDER THAN YOUR PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS. 📣👆🏼 — @rickcarusola

Last week, I had the honor of hosting fellow Trojan Rick Caruso in Newport Beach on my birthday alongside my @civitas_prima co-founders + team. It was a surreal night with a strong message from Rick on this gen (slide #2 ….👂🏼🇺🇸

Unless you’re planning to live off a trust fund, there’s NO shortcuts, no guarantees and no quitting allowed. KEEP BUILDING + OUTLAST the masses who give up, and you will succeed beyond your wildest dreams.

I’ve been fortunate to know Rick through Newport Beach, #USC leadership, and Pacific Palisades, where my uncle, Monsignor Kidney, is rebuilding his Catholic church, @corpuschristischool_pp, following the devastating LA fires. Throughout it all, Rick has remained a steadfast supporter of the Palisades community and its recovery.

Beyond business and civic leadership, it’s Rick’s commitment to faith, family, loyalty, and community that I admire most. Those are the values that connect us.

This is why we founded @civitas_prima: To bridge generations, open doors, and give tomorrow’s leaders access to those who’ve built something next level.

Thank you, Rick, for your time with us, your dedication to OC / LA, and for making my birthday one to remember. 🙏🏼

THE FUTURE BELONGS TO THOSE WILLING TO WORK FOR IT.
SEND YOUR GENZ OUR WAY 👉🏼 @civitas_prima

Huge thanks to our sponsor @happydad who has invested in our purpose day 1 and to the newer sponsors on board @levendiwinery @lpbuildingsolutions @becknellindustrial , we appreciate you.❤️

This morning, Civitas Prima brought together two local leaders from neighboring cities, former @NewportBeach Mayor Joe Stapleton @newportstapleton and former Laguna Beach Mayor Alex Rounaghi @alexforlaguna for a candid conversation about local government, policy and the issues shaping their communities.

Two leaders. Different perspectives. One table.

Joe and Alex discussed what’s happening in Newport Beach and Laguna Beach, debated key issues and took questions directly from our members and residents.

Both were among Civitas Prima’s first speakers last year, and we were proud to welcome them back as they continue their journeys in public service.💪🏼

THIS is what CVP is about: access, intelligent conversation and bringing people together even when we don’t agree. Thank you, Joe and Alex, for showing up, answering the tough questions and keeping the conversation real.

What issue do YOU want to hear our local leaders tackle next? Drop it below. ⬇️🇺🇸

A look back at an incredible evening with Mario Marovic at @wildgoosetavern. We’re grateful to be building a community through Civitas Prima that is grounded in professional leadership, civic engagement, and long-term impact. Conversations like these are exactly why CVP exists, bringing together thoughtful leaders who care about the future of business, policy, politics and our communities.

More is on the horizon. Mark your calendars for March 18 for a discussion with @realwilloneill; Chairman of the @OCGOP, two-time Mayor of Newport Beach, and Partner at Newmeyer Dillion.

If you’re interested in joining the conversation, learn more by filling out the form at the link in bio. Space is limited, invite is required.

Thanksgiving week gave lots to be thankful for. Not really the snow, no, but Mammoth was rideable, top to bottom with sunny weather, while most of US resorts sat still.
Much more importantly, our first born @piperbiolos got engaged!
Pipers best freind since elementary school, @matt.economos made it official, with a surprise proposal at the top of Mammoth Mtn…and we were all in on it, followed by a mid-mountain surprise party, with family and friends to follow.
Needless to say, we are very proud and both families are equally excited.

Thanksgiving Day itself was a masterclass, by @kellybiolos, spending all week preparing an incredible feast for almost 20 of us. @artbyryder added her stylish trimmings for a real special experience for friends and family.
Throughout the week, we rode a lot snow, testing out new boards. We ate and drank (too much), watched football and enjoyed good times, with good people, as we celebrated and started winding down the year.
Thanks to everyone who took part.

Cheers to @sammy_deleo, for the sneaky mountain top proposal photos, party portraits and early morning action shots.

The future belongs to those we guide today. 🎤 🇺🇸
While the same exhausted political party tactics keep recycling, we @civitas_prima aim to raise the standard + the reach for the next generation of American leadership.

As founders, we’re committed to building and backing young, forward-thinking leaders who can actually win—in elections, in business, and in their communities. Politics touches everything, #nextgen needs to level up, challenge the status quo, push the envelope, and show up with purpose. We need to evolve with influentials and platforms to build civic duty, sharpen political IQ, and create real impact. If you’d like to evolve with us, slide in our dms.

Huge thanks to Chef @andrewgruel longtime client, friend, and politico force + better half @lauren_gruel for bringing Civitas a candid, uncensored, and much-needed conversation and to @happydad @currentclub for the partnership. We appreciate you. 🤝
