I’ve been integrating the last six weeks I spent in Sweden at @angsbacka.official and I feel so inspired that I felt like sharing some photos and things I’ve learned along the way. I named it part one, because I can already feel more coming under my fingertips. Enjoy. And… I’d love to hear what you’ve been learning about relating lately.

As I sit in my room, away from the familiar, imposter syndrome filling my lungs ...
I look back at the last 2 years or so.

These concerts, workshops and Ceremonial spaces, created with some incredible musicians by my side, feel like a deep breath

~ or a love letter to my younger self.

When I held my first voice liberation journey I knew something had been rewired in me. I visualised it and then it was suddenly time in this reality. I suppose that's how most things work.

Believing it is possible from a 'positively delusional' place is the first step.

After many dark nights, it has been and continues to be an INITIATION.

When I'm here in this space sharing with you my soul, where I let myself be free, and flow away from the classical roots that once bound me. I stretch out all my branches and TRUST I can touch the sky.

I am the sky!

It is the most natural way for me to exist. To sway in the wind where all doubts fade and i become a pure channel of what can only be described as love? It feels like everything at all once in this profound way. Not overwhelming.
But alive!

Within that there cannot be fear of not enoughness.

Ive come so far and I know there is so much more to go

Fear does exist.
I'm human after all.

I have learned from my past wounds that
if Fear shows herself I must step in

"Oh hello old friend, I love and believe in you"

I encourage and support you to, so I must to myself!!

I've been holding quiet little fire ceremonies for myself to remember my spark and how it inspires.

I give thanks to all my guiding lights, my angels, my ancestors and you for your continued support ✨

In 2006 something unbelievable happened…💫

My biggest inspiration @indiaarie was finally performing in Paradiso in Amsterdam!

My mom got a ticket too and when she was on her way to the concert she suddenly saw India and here crew walking on leidseplein.. my mom (crazy as she is) walked straight up to her and said: “My daughter is your biggest fan. And she’s a singer too.” 🙈

Later we were all standing in line at Paradiso with friends, singing India Arie songs while waiting to get in. A guy joined us and started singing along. What a voice! We were singing ‘Get It Together’ when he suddenly said: “I wrote that song.”
I didn’t believe him of course. 😅

Then he called someone and held the phone in front of us while we were singing so the person on the other line could hear. I think it was India… but I’m still not sure.

Just before the doors opened he said: “Make sure you stand in the front. I’m India Arie’s band leader and I’ll arrange for you to come backstage after the show.”
We weren’t sure if he was serious… but when the doors opened we sprinted to the front. Just in case 😉

Then the show started… and there he was behind the keys. He was telling the truth. It was @_shannonsanders

During the concert, when India started singing ‘The Truth’ she suddenly walked closer and pointed the mic at me: “SING.” she said. I sang a few lines and she said: ‘GET HER ON STAGE!’

Within seconds people lifted me onto the stage and suddenly I was on stage with India Arie?!
Magical. Unreal. Terrifying.

After the show Shannon kept his promise and we went backstage, where we jammed with her band, later India arrived and joined the jam. At one point India sang: “Today I pray to every person in this room… to find their way.” And in that moment we followed her message while singing and we were all blessed with love that night. 😇

Back then was a difficult time for me. I became famous in Holland through a the talent show, but had been dropped by my label 2 years later. I was lost and didn’t believe in myself anymore. 😓

But that night gave me a spark again. It felt like pure alignment… like manifested dreams. And every time I doubt my path, I think about this day. ✨
