Tournament recap ⚽️

No trophy this weekend, but plenty of growth. We challenged ourselves by playing in a higher division, and this team rose to the occasion every game. Proud of the effort, resilience, and the way the girls supported each other throughout the weekend.

Sometimes the biggest wins don’t show up in the standings. 💙 #TeamFirst #GrowthMindset #SoccerLife

The future is bright. 🌟

Taken from Coach Garrick’s message to the team after the tournament 🏟️

⚽️ This weekend, our girls were forced to ENGAGE.
They had to be fully present and make impactful decisions every minute they were on the field.

🥅 They were CHALLENGED.
Facing higher-level competition — teams and clubs we hadn’t seen before — sharpened them naturally.

🥅 And they were forced to PERFORM.
Win or go home. Execute if you want to advance.

And these things — engage, challenge, perform — they DID.

🏆 They did it with determination. With resilience. With toughness — physically and mentally.

They squared off with a highly ranked Legends SD Flight 1 team, battled an aggressive and scrappy A1Day1 D3 squad twice — including a penalty shootout that saw 16 girls step up and take shots — and faced the home-favored So Cal Reds Flight 1 DPLO team, a match decided in the second half off tough penalty calls.

📸 Missing a couple players from this photo but we couldn’t have made it to the finals without your help!

Thanks for sharing this amazing reel @ivygarner_gk_2031!!

Penalty Kick’s are so stressful especially for keepers (and their parents @modernabbydecor and @davidgarnerart ) … but our keeper lives for them! ⚽️ 🥅

LAFC 3 vs INTER MIAMI CF 0

Blessed that our families got to go watch professional men’s soccer at LA Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles last night.

They got to witness Messi and Son Heung-min on the pitch! ⚽️

Brando passed away last December. I’ve often said that the best part of me died that day, and there are moments in the past year without him that have felt like hell. Thank you to my dear friend and spiritual therapist, the phenomenal @davidgarnerart , for honoring my baby boy so beautifully. I know he’s with me forever now, my right hand man, and it’s time to finally allow both my heart and tattoo to heal.
