1998 - 2001: The Sound of Gefle

emerged from their high-school campus, preceding the "swemo" landmark accordingly known as @leiah026.

After playing a really successful reunion tour in mainland Europe, legendary HARDCORE EMO-ROCK band @kamara026 are finally back and active members of the scene again! (.. i've heard some rumors... )

Go grab some CDs or tapes to celebrate the big 90s emo revival! (6th wave???)

We’ve been home for almost a week now, and we’re still trying to take it all in.

We had no idea what to expect or how we’d work as a band again after all these years. But this tour exceeded everything we could have hoped for.

Seeing old friends, meeting new ones and connecting with people through our music has meant so much to us.

None of this would have been possible without @maxmaster121 at Gizzmoix and everyone who booked shows and supported us along the way. To all the bands we shared the stage with, everyone who cooked for us, gave us a place to sleep, hung out, took photos, filmed and bought our records and shirts. Thank you!

We’re also quietly working on something special for you. More on that when the time comes.

Viva KAMARA!

Sandviken. We’re in full prep mode for the tour now. It’s been a productive summer, slowly turning into autumn, and it made me think about when we wrote this ”song”.

We sampled the pedestrian crossing button in Sandviken, around the Milkbar. It was on a route I walked all the time after leaving friends up at Klangberget.

Sometimes those walks turned into something else. Dwelling. A kind of bottomless void, even during some of the happiest times of my younger life. That feeling still haunts me a little.

I guess there’s something in it about letting go. Letting go of summer and endless nights. Sneaking into Parkbadet. Just being outside with your friends, with nowhere in particular to go. Endless hang.

As I remember it, David put the guitars down pretty much on the first try in the studio. Nothing we had rehearsed. It just happened.

And now the song is still here, some 25 years later. Crazy.
