Good news for anyone who doesn’t have all the answers: you don’t need them. You just need the right people in the room and the humility to hire them.

Kyle Leahy has used this philosophy to build strong brands and teams at Glossier, Nike, and now WHOOP, where she serves as Chief Commercial Officer.

She calls it outhiring yourself: bringing in specialists who know more than you, then unlocking their expertise around a big, strategic vision.

Is it unnerving? Yes. Does it work? Also yes.

New episode drops tomorrow!

When you mess up, own it. If everyone on the team is accountable, you’ll build a tight-knit team that trusts and respects each other.

To build an elite level culture, everyone has to be all-in. Whether it’s a team in business or on the court, if everyone isn’t fully invested, the highest levels of success cannot be achieved.

A divided team needs someone who will listen. Find the informal leaders on each side, hear them out, and then find the common cause that matters to everyone.
