Summer so far!!!

A glimpse into eternity…

On my best days the two most prominent things in my life are Jesus and distance running. 2026 FCA Distance Camp couldn’t have been a better representation of how the two should coexist, and I feel so blessed to have been apart of every minute of it.

From getting smoked in huddle leader kickball, to 4 hours of sleep a night (and daily coffee intake) to our group winning the lip-sync battle, this week had so much fun, while also holding a powerful emphasis on the Gospel mission.

As a Missourian who never had this camp on my radar in my youth, I feel so blessed that through circumstance God brought me into friendship with the UNK folks and allowed me to see just how big He is moving in Nebraska (of all places lol). In just a few short days I was reminded so heavily of His goodness and love for us while making new eternal friendships and getting to be apart of brothers and sisters being welcomed into the Kingdom. He truly is so good, and this week was so evident and the biggest encouragement! Shout out Jaden for bringing the word with such conviction and love.

Also shout out to Connor and David for being the best co-huddle leaders, and just to all of huddle 18 for being the best hudlets!

God was ever so present this week

Initially I didn’t think I was going to do anything this summer for God aside from improve my own relationship with Him. But He had other plans, and Im so glad He did.
It was an incredible opportunity to serve Him alongside other leaders and staff with the same mission of being His lights and witnesses in sharing the gospel to others at the camp.
His presence overflowed this week, and He moved in the lives of so many people.
Thank you Jesus for distance camp, and allowing me to be a tiny little part ✝️

I know I’m kinda late to this post, but I’m a Phelps, we’re always late to everything.

Honestly, going into this year, I didn’t have a whole lot of expectations for anything. But honestly, this year has been a blessing to me in more ways than I can count. First and foremost, I passed!!! In addition to that, I can truly say that this year has been the most impactful and most eye opening for me. I have been able to grow in what I have loved for many years, and I have been blessed with an amazing group to share it with. I have an amazing group of friends, the best friend I could ever ask for, and a wonderful girlfriend to spend my time with. Overall, I rate high school like a 8/10 for the idea, a 2/10 for the classes, and a 11/10 for the experience. I am going to miss everyone that I have been able to grow with, and I hope people will continue to reach out in the future. Thanks NHS and the class of 2026 for growing alongside me. I finally get to go to school exclusively for what I want to do in the future. Finally, I would like to put all of my thanks and glory to God. Without my eyes being opened to Him, I would have struggled heavily in my growth. Glory to God!!!

Looking back on the choice between staying homeschooled and joining public schooling in 2nd grade, I can proudly say that I made the right choice.

Class of 2026 Out. Thank you to all my friends and family who have supported me throughout my childhood and through college. Big shout out to the teachers, and coaches who influenced my life, I would not be the person I am today without you guys guiding me. Praise The Lord for guiding us all. Paramedics here we come.
