I remember once I was listening to one of my favorite Torah teachers @davidsacksspiritualtools and he said something along the lines of “When Yosef was thrown in jail for many years he had no idea what would become of him. He knew he had greatness inside of him. He knew he had great Purpose but he was also in chains. One of the ways he dealt with his fear and loneliness in isolation was contemplating on the Yud in his name.” The Yud is the tiniest letter in hebrew it only has to appear as a mere dot-pen to paper. Nothing more of it and yet it reminds us that even that tiny dot constitutes all of H” (The Divine) in one teeny bit of black fire on the white fire. Our souls are like that and so is how much we allow G-d into our life. I have a line of a song in #cosmicconversations that goes “Just because today looks like yesterday doesn’t mean tomorrow will too(look like today).” -Reb Yehuda Leib Eiger (Toras Emes of Lublin) this is another teaching I’ve heard over and over again by David Sacks. The Yud is such a powerful letter. Sometimes especially today we can feel so lonely like no one sees the darkness we’re in. I know every Jew I spoke with over shabbos yesterday is wondering “what is it going to take? How much longer do we have as a nation, a people outside of the land of Israel? 🇮🇱 Will we ever be able to unify and be a force only for good and for G-d’s will? Or will we keep having horrific tropes thrown at us and so much noise around us about us and hurled at us for being asked to complete this crazy mission to follow learn and be a light because of the #Torah? I wonder if one of the ways we can get there is by focusing UP focusing on the way Yosef got out of his narrow places, underground. We have no real choice except to do our best to believe in the Light, the hope that is to rebuild a beautiful makom (place for G-d) everywhere we are. Have a meaningful Yom Kippur and may all of us see the light even in the darkest of places. The art above was mostly inspired by my praying for Yosef ben Sarah. May he and all of the other people we’re all praying for-for healing have a speedy and full miraculous recovery! ❤️‍🩹 please say Amen if you’re reading this.

🙋🏻‍♀️When we say, “I do that,”

we interrupt the mind’s rush to judgment.

💚We remember that we never know the whole story.

And beyond that, we remember something even more humbling:

the very things we criticize in others
are often things we have literally done or do ourselves.

😬That realization can be startling.

But if we let it, it can soften our certainty,
loosen the grip of the ego,
and open us to paradox… the ultimate humbler.

💗When we practice saying, “I do that,”
we become less attached to being right
and more available to truth.

🧠And from that place,
we may discover that reality is far more complex,
mysterious, and paradoxical
than our judgments first suggest.

🙏🏼May we be blessed to learn to be beautifully humble.

Thank you Reb David @davidsacksspiritualtools

Shabbat Shalom on Parshas Korach and Chukat.

This is basically Me Every #Friday Before Shabbat
comes in! From Thursday til Friday sundown I can’t wait to just be IN Shabbat mode. Every week. It’s really fun to look fwd to it every Friday.

This is also Me realizing No matter how
Horrific things get, We must keep
Our Faith. I think about @davidsacksspiritualtools @thecharliekirkshow1776 @dennisprager @officialbenshapiro and how they all teach to never lose faith no matter how dark the world seems.

And that at Any second Things can Change for the Better.

Prayer works!
And has
reverberations!!!

Just because
People around me
sometimes
Appear like zombies

Doesn’t mean
They can’t be inspired
Change starts with me.
I can inspire others.

I made
A vow
To host a singles
Shabbat meal
Once a month

I was sick
Of hearing
Friends and myself
Complain
About being
Single

So I started
Hosting
Shabbat dinners
For singles
In my age group.

And it’s growing!
And it’s brought
So much joy!

To a group
Of people
Who often
Can feel lonely.

If everyone
Vowed to host
One meal a month
For singles In
In their home

Perhaps there would be less single people
And more marriages!

And it feels so good
To scream out
“Moshiach is coming”
And
“Good Shabbos!”

People have no problem
Blasting
Vile lyrics that degrade people.
So why not
Scream #blessings out the window?

While we still
Have #freedom of
#Speech!

I’m so #grateful
To be a part
Of
A people who
#Believe that
#Moshiach
And #Shabbat are coming!

Good #Shabbos Everyone!
This weekend is Shabbat across America! 🇺🇸 let’s do it in support of some of our country’s core values! To support freedom of religion and practicing positive helpful and healthy religious customs! PS: I love my playlist on #pandora. DM me for the songs!! I somehow get lucky with my algorithm on there for feel good faith based songs!

🐠My teacher Reb @davidsacksspiritualtools loves to give this example of two fish swimming. One says to the next, do you believe in water? The other says, I don’t know, but my grandfather was religious, he did.

♓️So too it is with us. We do nothing but swim through God/liness. It’s fun to pretend to swim in the air and realize it’s actually true. Good dinner table activity. In honor of the month of Adar, Pisces, the fish. Lechaim

We live in a world flooded with information.
But has it made life any clearer?
Maybe what we really need is not more answers.
Maybe we need to know the story we are in.
Because when you know the story, you can find the way through the darkness.
What story are you living?
