Let’s get to know our youngest #mckevlinsgrom:Ezra Stanfield. Ezra began surfing at the age of four. He has 3 other siblings and his older brother and sister are also part of the McKevlin’s Grom team: Micah and Asher. This dude is always amped to surf. His favorite surf move is a layback carve. Ezra’s favorite surfer is Mikey February (our’s too) and you can tell he’s trying to mimic some of Mikey feb’s smooth moves! His go to surfboard is the @lostsurfboards Sub driver 3.0. After a super fun surf session, Ezra’s must have meal is Açaí bowls. He has lots of hobbies outside of surfing: fishing is at the top of the list, hanging with friends, being silly, skating, reading, and soccer to name a few. A few top surf accomplishments include: making finals at regionals, winning his age division at Gromfest, and finishing top six at Governor’s cup and at Carolina Cup. Grom team went up to OBX for the Easterns contest! Everyone of these groms surfed their hearts out, had a blast 💥 and cheered each other on! The conditions looked fun and rippable. Micah got 2nd in 14-15 girls Asher got 5th in 12-13 boys Gracelyn placed 6th in 12-13 gals. Ezra and Greyson charged also unfortunately didn’t place as well as they hoped for! No worries these kids hold their own. Sometimes you win some, sometimes you don’t. Room for some motivation for the next comp! Branding and identity work for @reizckproject founded by artist @merritt.spangler Reizck Project (pronounced RIZ-ik) is a nomadic art initiative in dialogue with lives shaped by conflict. Taking this initiative and applying it throughout the branding work was the overall visual solution that drove the identity for this brand. This common thread was brought through visually by animation along with the marks we designed for the identity. This whole idea of dismantling something that is broken and shaping it in a way where it is then put back together through the medium of art.
