Great weekend in Georgia. Was Austin’s best man. Had adventures with my bestie. Got to see my Cactus. Geeked out at MomoCon. Visited the Atlanta Jazz Fest. Saw dinosaur bones. Saw SO MANY trees. Congrats again to Michelle and Austin!

One of my favorite parts of our ol restaurant was the belly selfie in that dang bathroom. This video doesn’t exist online anymore & I felt it necessary to memorialize

✨Light @ Play✨ is next week!

For 3 unforgettable nights, Downtown Peoria transforms into a glowing, open-air exhibition. Expect large-scale projections, illuminated sculptures, interactive installations, and immersive digital artworks designed to spark wonder and invite play.

📍 Downtown Peoria, AZ (83rd Ave bet. Washington & Monroe
🗓️ April 9-11
⏰ 6:30-10:30pm
🎟️ FREE

Life Update: I transitioned from academia to public art this year and Light @ Play is a huge event that I’m leading — I’m sooo proud of what our team has built!

Light @ Play features 6 visual artists working in projection, AR, and sculpture, plus a different vinyl-focused DJ each night (your favorite DJ’s favorite DJs for real) spinning funky sets on a light-up dance floor 💃

Light @ Play will also have a range of interactive installations for all ages: a chromatic shadow stage, glow games (like giant lite brite & LED see-saws!), a light painting studio where you can get long-exposure photos taken, and a projection play lab where you can make your own projection art. Plus glowing giveaways for the first 300-ish people each night 🌈💡

Our neighborhood friends are joining the fun too: The Monastery will have their “Illuminate” exhibition feat. the mighty Lily Reeves, along with curated exhibitions at Driftwood & Axiom, nightly Firehouse events (like black light paint & sip!), and Caldwell BBQ will be keepin things Lit in the Pit 👽🐂

On Saturday, we’ll have a supersized crossover with the 2nd Saturdays Art Walk — they will be bringing in tons of vendors, food trucks, musicians, live muralists, and extending the party to Osuna Park!

Scroll through for a preview of the artists, DJs, and programming. I’m so excited to share this with the community and I would truly LOVE to see you all there ❤️‍🔥
