Happy Homecoming Week!

This week I was blessed to paint up twice, once for the homecoming parade (shout out UGA BCM) and once for the Vandy Game (Go Dawgs!)

During all of the fun activities of homecoming, we must remember why we paint up. Colossians 3:23 says “Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people.” If we can honor God by gathering 13 Christian Guys to spell out “GEORGIA DAWGS” with a cross on our shoulder and a verse or encouraging message on our back, and if we can gather 16+ Christian Girls to paint us, then we will keep on showing up to Sanford stadium every Saturday to do so.

stepping into a new season🤍

i am aware that this is not a normal post but i could not not highlight this season. this year the word creative has been consistently on my mind. i believe that we were made to be creative because we were made in the image of the creator.

last summer i remember sitting down at my piano, praying that i could write a song eventually. having the opportunity to show my dearest friends at school the song I wrote and hearing them sing it back in a posture of worship was a moment i will never forget. i think that this moment along with many others this year continues to back up the creativity of the father and the image He made us in.

whether it has been writing music, leading worship, acting in plays/film, or just trying something new i think deep down i have always known that creativity is something that flows deeply within me. (and probably everyone else in this world!)

diving into this part of myself has only shown me more of the Lord. He has shown me himself through so many people and the light that they pour out, through the joy that i have knowing it does not come from anything other than Him, and the way that others have loved me so well. all of this has taught me many things, but mainly how to love deeper and be a friend to all.

my piece of wisdom from the very little that i know, is to just try the scary thing. sit with the Lord in the uncomfortableness of it all because you never know how He can use a moment to shift your perspective and change your heart.

i would not have guessed that this was the season that i would have entered, but i am so thankful that i did. the Lord knew that this was going to be my path and He is continuing to open my heart to receive what is still come.❤️
