I’m incredibly honored to be named a 2026 American Heart Association Leaders of Impact nominee!! Nearly four years ago, we lost my 22-year-old brother, Davis, to sudden cardiac arrest. In an instant, my life changed forever. Since then, I’ve watched too many friends, family members, coworkers, and patients’ families face their own stories of heart disease and stroke. It’s reminded me that this isn’t someone else’s fight. It’s all around us, touching the people we know and love every single day. That’s why I’m honored to support the American Heart Association and help raise awareness and funds for lifesaving research, education, prevention, and advocacy.

Over the next several weeks, I’ll be sharing more about this journey, the people who have inspired me, and ways we can all make an impact together through community events, education, and fundraising.

I’m officially a Rockie! I just wanted to come on here and say how blessed I am to have experienced everything that led me here today. I thank god for leading me in this path that felt long at times but it made me understand that everything happens for a reason. The people I have met at Alabama and Houston became my family and I love them more than anything. Without their love and support none of this would have been possible today and they have made everything worth it. I have been waiting for a while to get in the door and now it’s only the beginning of my next journey. Even though the one person I wanted to share this moment with the most is not here with me physically, I know he is proud and excited for what’s to come🙏🏽 @dhmemorialfoundation
