We filmed this in 2021. We finished it in 2026. In the middle of COVID, while I was in graduate school, we squeezed into my mother’s apartment, wore masks, grabbed props from Dollar Tree (my favorite place 😂), and made something magical with what we had. Jordan Wallace brought these surreal transformation sequences to life, helping us build the strange, colorful world of ACCESSORIES. Then, in 2025, I returned to a project that had been sitting unfinished for years. With InstinctǐVision Films and an incredible team of post-production artists, we finally brought it across the finish line. Five years between production and completion. And that’s okay. ACCESSORIES takes us into a surreal, ’90s-cartoon-inspired doll world where appearances, expectations, and tokenism collide. The project may have started in 2021, but its message still matters today. An unfinished project isn’t necessarily a forgotten one. Sometimes, you just need to find your way back to it. ACCESSORIES is now being submitted to film festivals. I can’t wait to share this world with you. #AccessoriesFilm #ExperimentalFilm #ChicagoFilm #IndependentFilm #CottageGroveProductions

Savoring the Moment at @cindependentfilmfestival This is our 4th year attending Cindependent... 2023, Falling Up (Directed by Davis) 2024, Hand Job (Co-Directed by Davis & Meezahn) 2025, Starlight (Directed by Davis, Produced by Meezahn) 2026, Savor the Moment (Directed by Davis, Produced by Meezahn) We can say with full confidence: this was the grandest Cindependent yet!! Congratualations to @allyson_the_instagreat @jonnyshenk, the full team at Cindepdendent and @mariemonttheatrebycindependent for creating such an incredible community building event that showcased exceptional films and screenplays from around the world. Savor the Moment is a love letter to Skyline Chili so screening it with so many Cincinnatians in the audience was next level 🤎🍝 To watch Savor the Moment check out our YouTube channel @heckyeahtv — we have social sizes and cutdowns!!! We weren’t messing around 😤 In addition to Savor the Moment, we had the true privilege of creating the Mariemont Theatre Crunchy and Bubs pre-screening bumper video which also played before each screening block at Cindependent (more on that soon!). Being a small part of the Mariemont Theatre is an honor (especially for Davis, since he grew up down the street from the theatre!) and it was a joy to collaborate with so many talented artists to make our vision come to life 🍿🥤 Thank you Cindependent for consistently inspiring us, motivating us and connecting us with amazing fellow filmmakers who we are so happy to now call friends. Movies (and Skyline flavored beer) are better with friends! 3, 12, 16, 18 📸 @jackcrowncamera 4, 5 📸 @angielipscombphoto 6, 10, 15 📸 @jonjon_photos 7, 8, 9 📸 @perry.holser

I’m honored to be serving on the Animated Short Film Jury for the 62nd Chicago International Film Festival! As North America’s longest-running competitive film festival, @chifilmfest has a long history of discovering great cinema. Its Best Animated Short winner is eligible for consideration for the Academy Award 🏆. I can’t wait to join my fellow jurors @oalexreis and @daviscameronchu, and reveal the winners of the Gold and Silver Hugo awards soon. I’ll be visiting Chicago for the very first time, October 21-26! Give me all your best recommendations and tell me what you will be watching at the festival 🎥

CUFF33, that’s a wrap. Highest number of film submissions to date. More sold-out screenings than any other year since COVID. Thank you to every filmmaker, artist, partner, volunteer, staff member, and audience member who showed up, stayed late, asked hard questions, danced, watched weird movies, and kept this thing alive. Underground film doesn’t exist without people willing to make it, fight for it, and sit in a theater together to experience it. We’re grateful as hell you spent these five days with us. See you soon. 🤘 Photo by @reeladdicttt
