the big emotional @creativesouthga 2025 post (dan’s version) (from the vault) this conference continues to be a deep and abiding source of enormous blessing to my life and career, since I wandered in as a brand new designer in 2016 and started meeting friends and luminaries in the design industry in the chillest of settings. this year i had the opportunity of a lifetime, clocking my first speaking gig and sharing about the art of creative survival to a couple hundred of my best friends. it’s still sinking in, honestly, what an honor and privilege it was to get to share some of the most precious lessons I’ve picked up from this wild and beautifully chaotic life I’ve lived so far — to feel like my experiences get to take on a life of their own as seeds of possible inspiration — to redeem parts of the struggle that seemed insurmountable and now are polished little gems that I get to give away. sharing this with some of the dearest people in the world to me was just the icing on the cake. heart is full of gratitude and excitement for the future. thanks to @bucket826 @peterdeltondo @hochdotco @cdianegibbs and the rest of the crew who keep this train rolling. to the countless friends constantly becoming family year over year in this special little southern town. art kids, we ride at dawn ⚔️
