🖤Today marks my one year Mad Miles Memberversary❤️ Full transparency, I had a really hard time making friends my first year and a half in Charlotte. So much so that I contemplated moving back to Greensboro because I was lowkey depressed. This is until I reconnected with Najla who told me about Mad Miles Run Club where she met most of her friend group. My first response, " Yall be running running? Because... I'm not a runner and I don't want to get left behind". She said " Don't worry. We got you." In 2024, I popped up here and there, but I knew I wanted to fully commit in 2025 as a part of my weight loss journey. I could not run more than a quarter mile when I first started. Now, I can bust out a smooth 3. I am truly blessed to have met so many new friends and reconnected with old ones. The constant motivation and support I receive from people in this organization is unmatched. Goal for 2026: Run Five 5Ks. Stay tuned because I'm going to need a cheer squad for each one 👀 White Background Headshot: @josephwattphotography Shades Headshot: @jihadzvizion Action shots: @cltnativeagain
