$my new single ‘mirabel’ is out now ꩜ 🪉〰️ writing mirabel was a joy for me. it began as a series of intuitive harp arpeggios that gradually unfolded into shifting shapes beneath my fingers. as i kept writing, the patterns started to feel geometric — triangular and tessellated across the harp on the strings and electronics, constantly refracting into new rhythmic forms. in contrast, the strings seemed to move more circularly — expansive, emotive and fluid — creating a feeling of orbit around the harp’s geometric kaleidoscopic motion.▫️⚪️ as the piece grew, i found myself following these shapes wherever they wanted to go. patterns folded into one another, rhythms cascaded outward, and the music seemed to move through its own cycles. even the harp score became a reflection of that experience — a way to visualize the patterns on my strings and inside my fingers. mirabel is the second single from a [time] patterned — my new album out aug 28th 🪉❕ @mercurykx so much love & appreciation to everyone who helped bring this music into the world & to everyone listening today 🩶 writing with @cyrus_reynolds is always a complete dream and having his luminous orchestral lens and voice on this piece was magic❕ thank you @utesch @obelus_era for so beautifully realizing the circular score, @brett.cox_ & all the absolutely beautiful orchestra at @theempirestudiolondon, @davyevans score animation, @mercurykx @cezza90 @_hannahbeatrice @sj.letts @anais.jx @deccarecordsus @faberalt @zinomikoreymastering @richard_whittaker_official @rowanbakermusic$
