I still have so much to say.
But here is the spark note version.

Someone (roger?) said at the start of rehearsals you could start the show in a shit mood and leave radiating joy…it is correct.

I went from knowing nothing about this franchise to knowing too much and I AM SO BLESSED FOR IT. To stand in the wings each night and learn from the people around me. The standard, consistency and love for what we do radiated within these people. I shall miss the magic. We giggled, cried, planked in the face of unemployment, smiled from our hearts and I pissed myself.

Miss Jen parker.
I think you beat me up, cut me in half, took a bite and made me shit myself (in that order). I am so blessed that you did. Thank you for bringing up every layer of self doubt and forcing me to face it. Demanding me to learn about my relationship to my voice, how important it is to be seen and gifting me the opportunity to show up and back myself over and over.

Emmy you did it.
For the days you had to speak to yourself with deep love through your tears, yawn so you could breathe something in, sing even though your vagus nerve said otherwise. Thank you. It was worth it. And every moment was a privilege.

(Performance anxiety is real and should be discussed more, it doesn’t define you or your future. It’s only the beginning baby🐣🌱) - thank you to all the people who held me and reminded me of the possibility of who i am.

To say i have finished with a full heart, neutral nervous system, stronger body, proud of magic i created and a fire to learn more than ever is something I wouldn’t have been able to say a few months ago.

What a gift to be a part of such an incredible show. I’ve grown and learned so much not only as a performer, but as a person. Thanks to all involved ❤️

What an incredible journey, short but sweet. BTTFAU has taught me so much about what I love and what I need in the job that I love doing + I’ve made some life long friends.

1. me in my fav costume (got to keep the shoes!).
2. me + jack coyne.
3. jack and my little improvised song to send @madsburkett on her merry way.
4. watching #swingnation earn their keep at club broadway via instagram live.
5. just a moment for these wigs that never saw a paying face.
6. this was the first time I had ever worn a wig. And you know what they say, once you go Kylie, you never stop smiley… 😶
7. first day of rehearsal with taye and dwayne.
8. (TW: unemployment) moments before we were sat down for tour cancellation.
9. the lady at the eyebrow place burnt the **** out of my eyebrows… and I was losing my job.
10. me and laura pinhead, the best bandmate.
11. final show for our alternate marty and dave for will and jack respectively.
12. my fav vocal moment from the show, that I’ll miss… :(
13. final bow of the show with our swing team.
14. blue mountains trip with kev and dwayne
15. showing up for 2 months everyday knowing the show was ending.
16. thom and I got to see MJ with the last Roman Banks show which was also their closing show and we sat next to kara and alfie.

& that's the power of love ❤️‍🔥✨️
beyond devastated to see bttf close so early but so so grateful for each & every time i got to see it :") the magic of theatre is sooooo real and this cast are absolutely everything, especially w/ the incredible @axelduffy as marty at the heart of this show <3 a camp, colourful joyous show filled w/ the most amazing cast who always brought the best energy & so much love both onstage & off - what more could u possibly ask for except a little more time? :") bttf will live on forever in the hearts of everyone who experienced its magic 🫰✨️ so so much love to the cast, crew and company who brought it to life <3 (& an extra shoutout to dance captain/swing extraordinaire @dwaynepmitchell who i was lucky enough to see in no less than 6 different tracks (!!!!!!) & who forever brings so much joy & light both on & offstage 💖✨️)
