We started the year on the Central Coast. Now we’re back on Highway 1, ending the year here & this time on our first family road trip as four. It’s hard sum up this year, so much happened and it all went by too fast.

Not long after we returned home from escaping the LA fires earlier this year, I found out I was pregnant. Nicholas and I finally decided to tie the knot, seriously an epic spring. Then Baby Maverick arrived this fall and turned my world upside down. Life feels better than ever, and I just want to enjoy every moment. I made it through it all with the support of my community new friends and old ones alike.

This year we drove all over California—ocean views from north to south, deserts in between—and crossed the ocean to Denmark with Mavy in my belly. Through it all, I kept being forced to slow down.

This year was harder and better than I could have imagined. And somehow I also managed to run Jem! And TGJS although it was for sure a lesson in realizing I can’t do it all. Ending the year grateful for all of it. Grateful to be here with my baby.

Looking forward to creating new things & watching my baby grow in the new year. It’s going to look a little different in a good way. Peace and love for 2026. 🤍

An exceptional September. A diminutive garden harvest, a girthy theatrical undertaking, absolutely enormous friends, and one tiny albino chipmunk.

This is us. Two close friends and business/nonromantic life partners/chosen family hoping to build a little oasis of community and support for our families transitioning to parenthood.

Dear @screamfestla, we had a blast and loved every single film we saw. The programming? Impeccable. The theater? Iconic. The man eating chair? Sticky. In a good way. Hearing people laugh at all the right parts in a giant theater in the center of Hollywood was pure delight. I’m so proud of the work of this cast and crew did to bring my 2020 quarantine dream come true. It only took me three years and a viewing of The Menu to call @rachelmcraft to ask her to help me make a movie. Thank you so much for having @hollowshortfilm at the festival. And thank you @dawnbatson @karialisonhodge @lookitsmarisol @jonas.kord and @zlgarrison for being there!!

Wardrobe fittings in the early 21st century were wild, man. This one started my obsession with leather @vans. #tvandfilm
