A rainbow of spring pastels for Erin & Rob with the fluffiest pink peonies, sweet pea tendrils galore and butterfly ranunculus freely floating above every arrangement. 🦋 Florals grown by us, @springwindfarm and @jerseycutflowermarket were really showing off in this one. The ephemerals are starting to peek their tips up out of the frozen ground and suddenly it feels like the end of a long, cold winter is in sight. We’ve leaned into the quiet of the off season and are longing for flowers in our hands and the scents of nature’s revival— you know the first morning you head out the door to start the day and can’t help but breathe deeply, inhaling the dewy grass and warm, wet earth. Soon the colorless winter will dissolve, the birdsong will begin and soft blossoms will emerge gracing the landscape around us with the most beautiful shapes and shades. With the sun on our faces and the scents of the season around the corner, we’re all but ready to begin again. It can’t be a coincidence that we got the 20 photo feature photo right in time to share this garden fairytale of a wedding at The Ashford Estate. Michael said in his vows that he’s loved Mackenzie @kenzie_vanhouten since they were 13 and starred in their middle school production of Willy Wonka and if that isn’t the sweetest thing you’ve heard today, I don’t know what is. We’ve tucked thousands of bulbs and roots in for winter so that spring’s blooms will grace tables on the most special days. Ranunculus with layers of picottee edges, painterly tulips where every petal is a watercolor, fragrant narcissus and more muscari than ever before for that elusive pop of blue we’re always chasing… Nearly 200 new peonies that will produce more and more beauty with every passing year. Our clients and @jerseycutflowermarket designers are in for a delightful spring. Plants are planted, new roots are growing underground, and now we tend to them quietly, wait, and rest. “December” by @emoryhall captures it perfectly. Brown. Flowers. Forever. 🤎 Working on some palette research for 2025 and excited to grow more mocha hued blooms like this stunning cafè salpiglossis from June. Chocolate cosmos for fall, terracotta lisianthus for summer and la belle epoque in spring. There’s just something about a touch of muddy brown, kind of like salt on food, that enhances everything around it.
