Nella’s latest painting.

A couple years ago, an organization called Caring Kind told me that if I started a store for my mom, they’d buy her tee shirts in bulk for their yearly walk and we’d raise money.

They left us in the dust. Never purchased or promoted anything,

But my heart still expands when I see what my mom paints/creates.

Please check out our store NELLA New York, second link in bio. http//:www.nellanewyork.com

All sales go to support Nella’s care.

Thank you ❣️

URGENT! NELLA’S SENIOR CARE HOME HAS SERVED HER WITH AN EVICTION NOTICE. A thirty day warning from a social worker there to Nella directly, occurred shortly before her stroke.

We fought to get her back into her senior home after her stroke because the friends, support (med tech staff) kitchen and activities have kept Nella’s brain alive! In fact, her doctor seen here was AMAZED that in January, my mom scored higher on her memory test than her first diagnosis nearly a decade ago now.

PRESS and MEDIA colleagues, let us tell our story on TV, on your podcasts, in print! PLEASE SEE OUR FUNDRAISER in bio.

The EVICTION is imminent. A change in my mother’s daily routines would likely KILL HER.

Our FUNDRAISER link is in bio.

PLEASE HELP-SHARE!

THANK YOU ❣️🙏🏼🙏🏾

What do Hilma af Klint and Nella have in common?

Red Tulip❣️

Nella painted her tulip a couple weeks ago (slide 2) after getting out of the hospital and Hilma’s postcard sits in Nella’s window from an exhibition we saw @themuseumofmodernart last year (slide 1) our dear Ari @aristotlecirca already started working on the graphic for Nella’s store (slide 3)

Please check out ALL of the beautiful items in Nella’s store http://www.nellanewyork.com

It’s a creative way to help my mom and brighten your day.

I’m SO PROUD of her. 🌷

NELLA aka “MOM” says I’m a top level PUNK.

I closed a full month of dancing choreographed poems with “American Pie” my autobiographical poem about @workhouse_pr and I working a pie station in Philly when he studied theatre @universityofthearts and I was @schoolofphiladelphiaballet The regal @meganlecrone danced “Bunhead “ eg:“me” as a ballet trainee. I danced Adam aka “Punk.”

Thank you @elysia.dawn @unitedartscollier for our official premiere at Naples International Dance Festival and @francesca_antonacci1 @kafra_collective for including us in this week’s program at #sparktheatrefestival #nyc

All the senses get fired up when I combine #poetry #dance into an immersive literally moving narrative, all happening in real time.

NELLA SAYS IT’S A WINNER!!

Special shoutouts to @dirtyfranks.bar frequented by Adam and Susan in their “pie days” and @thedandywarhols who justly costume Susan’s rebel stage persona.

(Thanks also to Corinne Vassallo who wrote out the score to the medley of tunes from rehearsals (she can’t be tagged) and our jazz sharp accompaniest Brendan Polk (not on Instagram)

NELLA’S ICE CREAM DIET

She likes it “ SWEET. CREAMY. STRAIGHT LIKE MY MEN.”

Please consider a purchase from Nella’s store. All proceeds go to her living and care. She’s beating brain atrophy through dancing and community. Her daughter Susan is fighting to keep her in her current home community that has been vital in keeping her from deteriorating.

LE PIRE!

This gets the distinction of the WORST-MOST CRAP B.S. POETRY I’ve ever seen.

💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

Thank you @daydreambeliever2021 for sending! It is Susan’s commentary on the post. She’s choreographing poetry on the body…. NOT LIKE THIS!!

The request from “ZOG” was CLEAR

Bring NELLA.

I had become an accessory to a Rock Star once again. But this time he wasn’t my boyfriend but my Mom.

Backed by myself and beautiful “Cabaret Meg,” Nella New York stole the show once again!

I still end up looking like “the girl with the most cake.” #ifykyk ;)….

Thank you @sethzog for another brilliant #NYE party @sidgolds @joemcginty7 (AC “paesan”) always BRILLIANT on keys! @meganlecrone the best backup singer in Nell’s caravan.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! MAY 2026 BRING BEAUTIFUL THINGS!!
